The first chapter of Hebrews describes two supernatural ministries that are available to us today: the ministry of Jesus and the ministry of angels. Jesus' ministry is much greater, but the angels play an important part in our lives. "But to which of the angels has He ever said: 'Sit at My right hand, till I make your enemies your footstool'? Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?" (Hebrews 1:13-14) This verse defines the role of angels. They are ministering spirits. We, being born-again, are the heirs of salvation. We continue now into chapter 2, verse 1: "Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away."
In Genesis chapter one, we find the account of creation. Some of the most profound truths in the Bible are in the Book of Genesis, especially the first three chapters. If you miss these, you won't be able to understand many things in the Bible. "And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so." (Genesis 1:11) Notice the fruit tree yields fruit "after his kind." It didn't say, "its kind," but "his kind." What we have here is the law of double reference, referring to two different things.
When it comes to operating in the principles of the Kingdom, Jesus gave us valuable information. In Mark chapter 11, verse 23, He tells us how to remove a mountain of adversity from your life. First, He tells us to have faith in God. "For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, 'Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea;' and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith..."
Why doesn't God do something? How many times have you heard someone ask that question, imploring an answer to the violence and tragedies in the earth? If God really loves us, why does He allow children to die? If there is a God, why would such a good person die such a horrible death? These questions point to an intensely misguided supposition that God, being all powerful can do anything. With the emphasis on "power," the idea that an "all powerful" God would not stop such atrocities is a horrendous thought.
Let's read I Peter 2:24, "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." The WORD says you were healed. Sickness is a curse of the law, and Galatians 3:13 says, "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us...." Matthew 8:17 says, "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses."
As we approach the end of the age, we as believers are coming closer to the Kingdom of Light and our light will become brighter. But the world is coming closer to the kingdom of darkness. Therefore, their darkness will become darker. For the scriptures reveal that the lamp of the wicked shall be put out. Things are not going to get better in the world. The world will be walking further into darkness, stumbling as it goes. But you don't have to stumble in darkness. You can have the light of life.
A common enemy to success in an individual's life is fear. Thoughts of fear can cause you to become anxious, overwrought, and stressed out. Fear is perverted faith, or we could say the reverse gear of faith. Faith is a builder – fear is a destroyer. Most people tend to fear the unknown. We find on several occasions when Jesus appeared to the disciples after He arose from the dead, His greeting was: Fear not or be not afraid.
Most people don't understand the power of words. Do you realize that the things you are speaking out of your mouth are setting the cornerstone of your life? Some words deceive. Some words transmit faith. Think about it. The words you speak can transmit faith or fear. So, when we are talking about your spoken words, we are talking about things that are powerful enough to change lives for the better or worse.
As you study the Bible, you will notice God never does anything until He says it. That's the way He works. God has done nothing in the earth without first speaking it. Even now, it seems that God will do nothing in the earth unless it is spoken, prophesied or called for by the prayer of faith. Romans 4:17 tells us that God "quickeneth the dead and calleth those things which be not as though they were." In other words, God speaks the end result.
One of the keys to understanding the truths of the New Covenant is having a revelation of the gift of grace. The apostle Paul gives us clear insight in this matter in Romans, Chapters 4-6. Romans 4:13 NIV says, "It was not through the law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith." Verse 16, "Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all."Here Paul indicates the way we enter into grace is through faith.
