We are living in a season when many of you feel as if the heavens are brass, and it's been more difficult to break through to hear the Holy Spirits voice. For some, there has been one battle after another. Many believers as well as unbelievers recognize this dark time, but regardless of what is happening around us, the Lord is calling His people to walk by faith knowing that we have been called for such a time as this. This is not the time to draw back in fear, but to forget the past, and reach forward to the days ahead, knowing that we will come out of every battle victorious.
In the book of Genesis there is a story about a man named Joseph. Joseph was favored by his father and his father gave him a coat of many colors. I believe that this was a metaphor of the Lord placing a prophetic mantle upon his life. The Lord gave Joseph two dreams in which He showed him his destiny. His brothers hated him because he was highly favored, and when he shared his dreams with them, they hated him all the more. They threw him into a ditch, took his coat of my many colors, put goat's blood on it, and took it to the father so that the father would think that ferocious animals devoured and killed him.
I've been to many conferences, church services and home groups where the Holy Spirit begins to move, and some people get so intoxicated in the anointing while others just don't receive anything. Why is it that some people are so sensitive to the Holy Spirit and others don't even recognize His presence? I'm going to share how any Holy Spirit filled believer could become more sensitive to Him, hear His voice and discern His leading.
Most of us are familiar with the prophet Elijah. Some people think of him as an ecstatic wild looking prophet with eyes like a blazing fire. Well, Elijah was certainly quite unique, but the Lord used him in powerful ways. I want to share a prophetic word that the Holy Spirit gave me last year. He is raising up and placing His anointing on men and women who will run like Elijah. The Lord showed me racehorses standing at a gate ready to run a race. They were not just average horses, but they were thoroughbred horses that were equipped and groomed to run with speed and endurance.
There is a story in the book of 2 Chronicles chapter 20 about the King of Judah named King Jehoshaphat. He received a report that the Moabites, the Ammorites and the Meunites had joined forces to attack and wage war against him. Jehoshaphat was shaken. As he and the people of Judah and Jerusalem came before the Lord, he said to the Lord, "Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you." He reminded the Lord how He drove out the inhabitants of the land before his people Israel.
Today the Lord brought me back to a dream that I had in 1984 just a few days before I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. In this dream my mother came up to me and said: The reason why you dream of water so often is because you want to go back into my womb and be born again. I didn't understand what that dream meant at the time, but a few weeks later I got filled with the Holy Spirit and began to understand spiritual things. I learned how to hear Jesus' voice through reading His Word. I found that there are countless ways that He speaks. Some of the ways are through dreams, visions, enigmas, metaphors, impressions and parables.
We read many times throughout the bible that the Lord's people were oppressed, controlled or manipulated by the enemy. Their adversaries continually pursued them and tried to destroy their character and their anointing. In some instances, they even wanted to kill them. History is repeating itself as there are people who want to silence believers' voices and shut down their ministries. There are spirits of jealousy, envy and hatred that are rampant throughout our land.
The past few months I've noticed that many ministries were opening up schools of the prophets and schools of the supernatural. They are training the young as well as the old believers how to be used in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, how to hear His voice, how to walk in integrity and how to understand the Word of God. Yesterday the Lord said to me: You will see many more supernatural training centers in the coming days. I'm raising up Spirit filled teachers to teach believers how to walk in the supernatural realm and launch them into their ministries.
This morning the Lord showed me racehorses standing at a gate ready to run a race. They were not just average horses, but they were thoroughbred horses that were equipped and groomed to run with speed and endurance. They were tenacious, strong, built up and trained to respond to detailed instructions. They were fit with the correct bridle and bit in their mouth and disciplined to follow their master's commands.
Jesus wants to take the body of Christ to a higher place. We are his beloved, his chosen people, his remnant and his warriors. He desires to show us things in the Spirit realm and give us revelation that we've not yet discovered. Some of you are going to begin to see things from an "aerial view." In order to see things from an aerial view you must first be in an elevated place. He is calling each one of us to come up to a higher plateau where we will see from a different perspective.
