What do you think about when you think of "excellence?" Some may think of perfectionism. When we are talking about God, we have to understand that He is the Author of excellence and is excellent! When we look up the word "excellent" in the Hebrew it has so many positive explicit and implicit meanings. Here are just a few: abundance, increased, huge, plenty, multitude, numerous and more.
Recently in a vision I saw that there are people who are in a place of frustration regarding their worship. More specifically because there was no real breakthrough in the worship. It was like they were hitting a wall and there was no to little effect in shifting the spiritual atmosphere. Having been caught up in a place of mechanics and performance in the worship, it was getting them nowhere. In this God was sending help to bring them back into the simplicity in worship where the flow of the Spirit could be restored.
Have you ever had an area in your life where God has given you promise and for whatever reason dropped the ball with it or just let it go? Maybe the waiting, circumstances and the cares of life choked out that promise but God wants to restore it to you! Nothing is impossible with God. Believe the Lord to reignite faith and fire to see the fruition of all that He has promised in your life!
When I first came to the Lord one of the most important things I learned was how to take captive every thought. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 "For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."
Acts 3:19 "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord." God gives refreshing and there is nothing like being refreshed. People flock to the beaches just to get refreshing, rest and relaxation. I totally get it too because we live in Oklahoma where it gets to be 100 degrees or more in August. The beach and the pool are most welcome here! But although the beach is nice, there is nothing that compares to the refreshing that comes as we spend time in the Presence of God! It is also a whole lot easier too as you can enter into His Presence right where you are – any place, any time! What water is to us naturally, the Holy Spirit is to our hearts. He is the water of heaven – the very river that flows from the throne of God!
God calls us to have a "Spirit Saturated Life." Two people can have the same goals. What makes all the difference is the METHOD by which you achieve those goals. There are many benefits of being continually filled and saturated with the Spirit. One is that you become more tuned into the things of heaven rather than things of earth. The Kingdom of God works from the inside out!? Enjoy God Always!
One thing that I've discovered in my life, and maybe you have too, is that heaven is very much the atmosphere of worship. God is at the center of all the activity going on in heaven. In heaven, everything is "revolving" around Him. We see in the Book of Revelation that "The Throne" is the centerpiece of everything that goes on there. There are seraphim, cheribim, angels, the living creatures and the saints all crying, "Holy! Holy! Holy is the Lord God Almighty Who was and is and is to come." There is a literal river of worship that flows out from heaven which invites us to join in.
Have you ever found yourself in need of a breakthrough? Maybe you need one now. I cannot begin to tell you how many times breakthrough has been needed and found in my life. Breakthrough comes in so many different forms. It can be personal or for others. But in every case it is about God breaking in to a situation to break us out into a better place! The other day I was planting "herb" seeds with my son. I cannot remember the last time I did any gardening – but I was amazed at just how small these seeds were. They were ridiculously tiny!
What is the difference between "worship" and "prophetic worship?" Of course, everything that we do in life should be an act of worship to the Lord. Worship is not really rooted in what we do, but in who we are. We are worshippers. We worship God because of Who He is and what He has done. The Father is looking for those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. That occurs as we realize who we are. We are His priests. The priestly life is in devotion, consecration and heart commitment to the Lord through a life of worship.
The glory of God is the most powerful substance available to the believer. It is the very force of heaven, the gravity of God. Some time back I had a dream where I was in a church service and the glory fell in the place and knocked everyone to the ground. Then I heard the Lord speak the phrase during this dream saying, this is my gravity! 2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.
