"Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." Revelation 19:10b So many are worried about "false prophecy." Let me share the whole verse, because it is important: "And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, 'See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.'" We don't worship man (or angels). We worship God! People who are overly concerned about "missing it" are in fear, worrying about how people will see THEM.
Prophets are called with a Biblical job description, but they are also called with a personal mandate from the Lord, if they are real ones. You could also call that an assignment, often many assignments, but at least one. And they are still "regular people!" - meaning that they have all the human emotions and feelings that others have, but God puts an imposition on their life. That imposition is meant to be an honor, but many don't want "that" honor. But it's no different in the fact that nobody can completely control their life.
There are all kinds of meetings and we need to learn about them. There are rally meets where we gather together to lift up Jesus and talk about Him some and then offer an altar call.  If the Spirit in the meeting is true, His Presence will draw people into His Kingdom of God where they will get saved and take up a conversation and continue that (because He is lifted up). People will repent because they want to "renew" to be right with Him and know more of Him. It takes an anointed pastor/leader gift to do that.  Many church services have been like this for years and we have been blessed by them in a big way!  But it is not all there is.
Last night the Lord gave me a Scripture that has just stayed with me. It woke me up early this morning. We all know the Millennial scriptures - and see the artistry - of the Isaiah 11 passage: 6 "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them. 7 The cow and the bear shall graze;
When you hear a word of the Lord and it resonates with your soul, it is important to speak it out, even if it is just you alone in your prayer life. Hopefully you have trained yourself to look for a Scripture to back it up too, if it is not a Scripture already. Jesus promised that every word of Scripture would come to pass! Lately the enemy has been screaming out his words. Most Christians do not agree with those words, yet we hear them over and over and it's working on our brains.
The Name Jesus means "Salvation." If we were living in His time on earth, in His area, that is what we would have called Him: Salvation. We often name things after a meaning. It wasn't even that uncommon of a name because there were others who had the name Jesus we can read in the Bible, like Bar Jesus. That name still today is a common name also in other countries. But God was His Father in a special way and He named Him Salvation. Matthew 1:21 says to Joseph: "She [Mary] will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus [or Salvation], because he will save his people from their sins." That in itself is plenty to think about.
Venturing into the unknown is hard because you never know what you are going to face!  All Christians and just everyday people have to do it to some degree, but prophets especially do. I have had some experiences where I am more reticent on some things than I was before. There are places in my life where I wanted to learn and even be mentored some and ended up meeting the devil. Some of you will understand that. But guess what, God was still there, even if not in the form that I wanted Him in.  And as imagining people (which we all are) and as prophetic people (and if Christ is in you, so is some of that because He is all things that He gives out), we have to be prepared and understand that every soldier goes through boot camp.
It is natural for people to respond to situations with "What can I do to deal with this or help to deal with it?" and if we are Christian, to ask God "What do I need to do?" We were told to "Occupy till He comes," so we aren't always just kids waiting to be told what to do, yet we should listen for His Voice! Some have "vivid imaginations" and come up with things that He or others have said. It seems to be a human tendency. Most of us are the result of a reward system in our past where we are rewarded (or not rewarded) for certain behaviors.
The competition among prophets is something really crazy to see. They can all be so sure they have the last and final word on it. Many wouldn't dare consult one another and few agree to differ or see it from a different angle. Some of that is just the make up of being given a certain word to deliver. But sometimes some of the headiness of it swells heads. I've seen young ones who act like prophesying started with them! They mention the past like they lived in it. They didn't. But here is the truth, if they are really called, they are called to live THEIR lives and minister to whom they are called to minister. It's their space in time. If it is enduring, it will live on.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 To be the "substance," it means that something was projected and then the manifestation followed, because it is "evidence." There is good faith and bad faith - faith for evil and faith for good! Faith "alone" is not always just good. There are projections that go each way and witchcraft specializes in the dark side. Whether we like it or not, things are happening on both sides! So our skill has to be on overcoming evil with good and knowing Jesus.
