The Snare of Your Confession by Pam Clark

By Pam Clark
Okay, the Lord keeps bringing this up to me today - There are many people who teach on "the power of your confession" and they can give good Bible verses about it too. But, here is what MUST be understood. The "power" of it is in your agreement with the Holy Spirit of God. God is not giving you the power to become Him. He is not making you a God along beside of Him like a "pal" or a "peer." He is not putting His Authority in you to be as Him except in a way that is under Him. Like Father, like son, yes. But even sons know they are not their father. There is an order, a chain of command, but in the Spirit of the Holy Spirit, there is no weakness or breakdown. The Spirit holds its or His own position. You can see all this even in Jesus.

He is not making you a God along beside of Him like a "pal" or a "peer."

He is not putting His Authority in you to be as Him except in a way that is under Him. Like Father, like son, yes. But even sons know they are not their father.

There is an order, a chain of command, but in the Spirit of the Holy Spirit, there is no weakness or breakdown. The Spirit holds its or His own position. You can see all this even in Jesus.

It is God's will to heal; it is God's will to bless, in many kinds of ways. It is His will to give. And it is good to be "like Him." We are created in His image. But if we try to usurp His power and make it OUR power, to do as WE will OUTSIDE of the authority of God, we are taking on a witchcraft power, and that will be heavily punished, even if we are deceived, because inside of us we do feel the resistance. That is His Law that He put in our hearts.

God will work with us to help us understand, and He will forgive us if we make mistakes, but if we are "crafting" things and saying God lets us work independently and apart from Him, we are allowing ourselves to be deceived.

If we say something is God's will when it is NOT God's will, we are going against God. If we are trying to create authorities and powers by our words and are not submitting to the overall good SPIRIT of God in our spirit, we are going away from and against the Spirit of God.

Do you get what I am saying? Many today are teaching witchcraft, and some, probably without meaning it. But when they go legalistic on people, they are not acting in the Spirit of freedom or liberty, even when what might be desired seems good. It is presumption.

This will throw some people off because they felt defeated and before, they felt the hope of freedom! Maybe they were sick and wanted to be healed. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be well because it is God's will for us to be well. But if we transfer that power to heal (or otherwise) from Him to us, then we are "in authority" and not Him. Then it will not be well or blessed!

If He has transferred certain powers to us, we are still under His power and authority. He may say, "Go heal the sick," but we do it UNDER His Authority, for He is the Most High God. We minister power things to others UNDER the power of His authority!

The Will of God is Good

We may do mighty things under His authority, even as Moses did. But even Mary His mother needed the work of the Cross. She was and is greatly loved and appreciated, even by Jesus. But she holds no authority over Him as one who could usurp God. Can you understand this? Remember how Moses was rebuked when he did things against God's Authority? He died before he could enter the Promised Land with the people because he claimed he could bring water from the rock. He did not sanctify the Lord.

The will of God IS GOOD. Absolutely. But God shares His Authority with no man - nor woman, or boy or girl or animal or beast or anything else. We are to have NO other gods before Him.

If that is the first Commandment, and it is, then we really need to be cautious in how we confess certain things. Confessions can be real good, but wrong confessions can be real bad, in our soul. It's easier for a lost person to get deceived in this than a born again or spiritual person, but it can happen!

At Halloween and even at other times, people work to call on powers that bewitch and that seek to control people or the atmospheres around them. They choose to seize to control things by using the power of their tongues or mouth or their soul power will, or activities. They are calling on another force, it's a defeated force but they are working to invoke powers that are for what they want but they are out of the true Spirit of the Living God.

Be careful, even in choosing the Bible verses you confess! Are you submitting to GOD first? Jesus taught that "God is Spirit," and we worship Him IN Spirit and in Truth.

It is God's good pleasure to give you the Kingdom! But don't do it or take it without His Holy Spirit. He will not agree with carnality or from a position that is not His Position. And we do learn Him. There is a true grace.

This is why in fighting or resisting witchcraft and evil that we say NO to the devil and YES to Jesus. We speak to God by our spirit first, often more than we ever speak to Him with our words. He can read us and discern us. But it is why we often learn words first to help align our spirits aright. Romans 8 will teach you how we cry Abba! Father! We learn to agree with Him in Spirit.

Some things can seem strange because God heard a person more by their spirit than by their "correct" words. But He will still hold us responsible for getting our words and our spirits right. We learn how to find the full powers of our spirits in His Spirit! We have to fight and resist the flesh and other evil spirits too, but the Power, the Love, and the Authority is in Him, forever.

Negative confession

I've heard/been taught again and again about negative words bringing a bad harvest to our lives. Does your teaching apply to thi, too?
I must say that teaching always brought heaviness with it,to me.

Confession Article ?

Hi there, I saw your article on Jeremy Lopez's FB page. I read it and I guess I'm not sure where or what it is that people are doing wrong with confession... Can you share an example? I think in some way your article assumes I know what it means to use confession in the wrong way? Can you also then share how to do it correctly from your points here? Maybe also let me know if I'm missing something. Is Confessing your sins one to another incorrect? Stephanie
