Dealing with Our Pride by Pam Clark

By Pam Clark
I have a real burden for the Church, and dealing with pride seems to be one of the areas where I believe we miss it the most. So much of the world has crept back into the Church that it feels natural now, but then we don't hear from God and wonder why, and the schemes of the world are used to make us think more is going on than what really is. Pride is acted out as shaming, and negative comparing, and resentment is stuffed and then acted out, and the description of God we hear about is not really being seen.

True repentance is not there because it has become too judgmental and a comparison, and too many are worldly playing "king of the hill" and are not ministering as kings and honorable priests unto God! They are seeking position over service, and taking on epidemic proportions of the Nicolaitans and Pharisees that Jesus hated and condemned to lowest hell. It has become epidemic in many places. Emotional abuses are strong.

The opportunity for repentance is being offered, and it will start in the houses of God, among those who still carry His Name and Spirit in their hearts. If a sweeping judgment comes forth, the negotiations of intercession can and will become extremely difficult to come by.

The remnant that is now struggling will find it seeming next to impossible to navigate and their spheres will be smaller and the strongholds of unrighteousness will be stronger, as we have seen in many ways in our nation already. We can be on the verge of a tremendous breakthrough, if we contend and pay and pray the price - and the heart that contends is the heart that will be received - or we could be in more desolation than we are now with even smaller hope.

Everyone goes through hard times in this life process we are going through, but HOW we handle that makes the difference. We have to go by what Jesus said and taught. We have to understand that it affects our eternity, meaning our afterlife from here and even our current life.

When people are unhappy with the Church - and God bless you if you are happy with yours - then they go to the world to tough it out, because for them, in the church is worse than being out of it. In the world the negotiations are understood, and are not judged; they are just understood and souls are lost en masse, or in large numbers

A Burden for Souls

If you don't have a burden for souls, I really will question your authenticity. If you have to move a lot of junk and "stuff" out of the way to have that burden, then you have a lot of idols and callousness against God. And yes, I said against God. And He notices!

Caring for souls goes beyond collecting numbers of people who then get manipulated into activities and donating funds to maintain "the business". That becomes a rotating door and is not Family! It becomes nothing more than a worldly business, sustained by what people can give and buy, but is not pleasing God.

When Spiritual gifts are only important for the wow factor and for collecting funds, rather than enhancing and giving power to the true Christian Life where the power and Presence of God is evidenced, even with signs and wonders following, with holy love towards fellow man, and the wonder of it is noised abroad or noted beyond its borders, then the Spirit of God is alive in the church!

People can the find helps and love without condemnations. People are not prepared for show off and fleecing but for their testimonies on the goodness of God. It becomes a happy land!

Respect for the weak and elderly is honored and miracles are not uncommon. Children are happy participants, not programmed clones. The wonders of God are shared on a constant basis and hope for self and others is easily expressed and ministered.

The love of God overcomes the world! It has an eternal hope and joy. Is that being seen where you are? Are people finding a Haven for His Truth? Do they run to the house of God when they have needs, or to the world? How do they compare things? Are there tears on the altar or is the only altar the pulpit?
