It is natural for people to respond to situations with "What can I do to deal with this or help to deal with it?" and if we are Christian, to ask God "What do I need to do?"
We were told to "Occupy till He comes," so we aren't always just kids waiting to be told what to do, yet we should listen for His Voice!
Some have "vivid imaginations" and come up with things that He or others have said. It seems to be a human tendency. Most of us are the result of a reward system in our past where we are rewarded (or not rewarded) for certain behaviors.
When we accept the Voice of the Lord in our lives, there is another System we learn to navigate, along with finding out and learning what our Spiritual gift is and finding out how to figure that in too!
It's not easy, but sometimes we have good days and it is easier than other days. But I am sure you have noticed that God does expect some effort to go into it. As we learn Him, there are rewards, along with some corrections, but the goal is now a vibrant full eternal life and not just a short lived worldly life.
Because of our training, America has done pretty well, but over the past few decades, we have slacked off a bit. And now it is catching up with us and the rest of the world.
Oh how mankind loves a scapegoat for all their frustrations and often grabs the first one that is handy to them. But in God's system, that can backfire on you, because most people think in the worldly sense more that the eternal one.
Christ teaches to deny self while the world says, "watch out for you first!" And people tend to pretty much think of themselves first but the Christian has to learn how to do that while also being Christ like! We are here and we have to be practical.
We have a goal and an assignment that goes beyond just taking care of our self and God tests us to know if we are really His. Some are too harsh with their version of Christian and many are way too soft. But we have to learn and we have to abide and we have to be ready for when He comes for us and for most of us that can be a surprise.
In a moment, in an instance, in the blinking of an eye, life can be one way and then suddenly changed. For those we love, there is never a "convenient time" to separate. But this really is where the primary message and assignment is - to KNOW and trust that God is offering more.
We're Going Through Correction
Why is this Message of the Cross that took place 2000 years ago, still current and still such a noise? So much of society seems to have changed but one thing - we still face death and other needs where we require His Spirit to see us through.
And that is one reason why we have the different ministry gifts in each of the Body members. They make a difference to the well-being and survival of the Body of Christ. And when it is corrupted, we have a lot more work to do to get it straightened out and healthy again.
Without a doubt the Body is going through a correction right now. When one part of the Body is messed up, the rest of the Body feels it and is affected by it. If one part or parts hurts, is sick or injured, the rest of the Body is not going too far until it is dealt with.
In human life there are times when parts are cut off for survival but damage occurs when Body ministry is not correct or necessary or is just plain wrong. That means that we have to seek the Head of the Church [Jesus] for His wisdom, message and Ministry!
God has invested a lot in us and He expects to prosper on His Investment! There have been times in humanity where many things were on the line! You can remember where Moses and Abraham stood in the gap and prayed for others to survive.
God doesn't just want "survival," He wants health! He wants relationship and He wants vibrant life. Through Him we work to overcome and destroy the works of the devil, but a large part of that is our access to eternal life.
When we deny eternal life and just think of our temporary world, we get off track and miss the full and true overcoming message. This world is temporary! To ignore that reality is to deny Him. It is to change the subject and agree with the Serpent in the Garden that started this whole mess.
It's called living in the day of Grace. And with God a day can be a thousand years. Right now we are more in the awareness of that Grace than we are living in it because there is so much evil we need to overcome. I don't like limiting irritating hurtful things anymore than you do!
But we must come to understand that we need to know the LORD of Grace in an everlasting relationship so that the mysteries and supply can come to us! We need to break free of the bondages while developing at the same time. It requires sanity!
More Children are Coming
So often when we go to the doctor we get treatments and medications that in the natural we would not do except that we need the professional help. Jesus is still our Great Physician. Many times we need the corrections or the "new thing" that will minister to us in a healthy way.
Sometimes He is asking us to make room for more! Sometimes He might be saying, "You are pregnant! Make room for more life!" We thought it was indigestion, but it was hormones raging. Things are changing and need adjusting.
Things are not status quo, more children are coming and we need to prepare for them!
We can't raise them just any old way. This is family to a greater Family! They are a part of us! We don't want just part of our Body, we want all of it and for sure God does because this is His Plan! We are His design and we need to function the way He says and believes it will work best. Shabby work will not do because they affect us too.
Congratulations on your honor to be a parent! Do we need to remedy and work on some things? Yes we do. We can't tell God that He can't be a Father. It will not go well for us!
Let us reject the spirit of death and receive the more Life that He wants to bring!
