Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us° Ephesians 3:20 KJV

When we hear talk of "The Force," our minds think of a galaxy far, far away and imagine the sci-fi blockbuster Star Wars. But what if I were to tell you that there's truly even a greater "force" at work within our faith when we believe? I've just finished by newest book ENERGY: Where Is God In It? and it's in many ways a follow-up to the international bestseller HEALING: Energy, the Bible, Science, and You, delving even deeper into the mysterious, powerful realm of the "energy" of faith than ever before. The force of faith, though, isn't merely the entertainment of Hollywood or the work of science fiction writers; it's a very real secret that the early church knew all too well - a secret that was responsible for bringing about notable miracles, signs, and wonders and helping to establish the reign of the Kingdom here on the earth.  Advancements in scientific research - particularly in quantum physics - prove beyond a doubt literally everything in existence in energy. Knowing this, what does it mean where the subject of faith is concerned?  Where is God in energy?  Shockingly, the scriptures have a lot to say about the topic, believe it or not.

When writing ENERGY: Where Is God In It? I couldn't help but feel the inspiration of the Holy Spirit desiring to share deeper revelation and insight.  In Isaiah 40:26, the Prophet Isaiah mentions the "power" that holds the stars and the planets together.  Interestingly, the NASB translation of the text uses the term "dynamic energy." Could it be that long before Sir Isaac Newton, long before Albert Einstein, and long before the study of quantum physics, even the ancients and the early church recognized an invisible power at work within Creation? Ancient Jewish mystics regarded "God" not as a noun but, rather, as a verb - a force of continuous, moving action. They referred to this action as Ein Sof, meaning "The Endlessness." Shockingly, though, even Jesus alluded to this invisible force in his life and ministry and the Apostle Paul referenced it even more in his epistles to the church at Corinth when detailing spiritual gifts.  When Jesus claimed that he had come to "work the works" of who had sent him and when Paul wrote of the Spirit "working" in all spiritual gifts, the term in the original text is actually energeo, from which we get the modern term "energy." Energeo in Greek, though, actually means "effective power."

In ENERGY: Where Is God In It? I ask the question, "Where did the power go in the Body of Christ?" Jesus said there's a Kingdom within us, and Paul said there's a power working in us - a power of limitlessness.  But even though the power is always present and always flowing, why is it that at times the energy of faith isn't always "effective?" According to the scriptures, there were times when even Jesus himself could do no mighty works because of unbelief. The "secret," you see, is that your thoughts and your beliefs are the fuel that make the power "effective."  I don't know about you, but I refuse to talk about miracles, signs, and wonders and not experience them.  I refuse to talk about an abundant life but struggle daily. I'm sick of seeing the Body of Christ talk about power but have no real power to demonstrate.  When Paul preached Christ, there was a demonstration of the Spirit and power.  My friend, it's time to turn the power back on!  It's time to finally learn to make your thoughts and your beliefs more "effective!"

What if I were to tell you that your beliefs have always brought about everything you've decreed and that not even once has your faith ever not worked?  It's always worked, in fact.  It has no choice but to work.  The truth is that is hasn't always been "effective," though.  It hasn't always led to manifesting your abundant life. Double-mindedness and hypocrisy, according to the Book of James, can lead to deadly consequences.  My friend, Jesus taught that we will be given exactly what we believe.  And so if we claim to believe in the power of God but never see the power of God, then it means we either do not truly believe what we claim or that we believe the wrong things about God - nothing more and nothing less.  There's a power working in you, but that power can only become "effective" when you learn to truly harness it through your thoughts and your beliefs.  In ENERGY: Where Is God In It? I share proven strategies that have helped to awaken literally millions throughout the past twenty years of ministry - awakenings that have brought success, abundance, health, and all manner of notable miracles, signs, and wonders.  It's not enough to believe in the power of God. That power has to be demonstrated.  It has to become more "effective."
