Prophecy: The Lord Says, A Sword is Poised to Strike by Faith Marie Baczko

By Faith Marie Baczko
To overthrow or be overthrown, to prevail or be prevailed against, what will it be, this is the question. In seeking the Lord regarding the contrast of revelation between the power, the authority and the glory, or the judgment, I felt the Lord say to me, "I want you to see and understand both sides of the sword that is poised to strike." Most of my words are didactic in nature, as I seek to understand and to bring foundation, scope and understanding to the revelations given. This is what I understood: As the spirit of lawlessness and rebellion roams the streets, it will easily entrap the independent and rebellious in heart.

This is what I understood:

As the spirit of lawlessness and rebellion roams the streets, it will easily entrap the independent and rebellious in heart. Do we want to prevail over the enemy or to be prevailed against? There is something to say for those who, when faced with tribulation or dire circumstances, choose to stand together as one, supporting one another and their leaders. In unity of Spirit, they face off the enemy and ward off trouble. In union, we win the battles and have power.

Jesus made the statement that the gates of hell would not prevail over His ekklesia (Matt. 16:18). The word "prevail" means to triumph or have victory over, so, Jesus' promise to us is that the enemy will not triumph and have victory over the determined will of God. The church of God was created to prevail over the enemies of God within His strength and His power.

However, the word of God also declares that false prophets and false christs would deceive if possible, even the elect (Matt. 24:24). It is also revealed in the book of Daniel that the beast was making war with the saints and prevail against them (Dan. 7:21). Is this a contradiction? What does it mean for the saints to prevail, to triumph or better yet, to be a triumphant warrior? I believe it means more than just showing up!

We are now being called to face off with a demonic force rising in power and strength. It has been waiting for this moment to make its move and is flexing its muscles now. It is heading full force at the people of God and to take down lawful governments and order to establish a global governance in the earth. In this time, we must pray but also trust God in the way He works (Please see my last word).

For many days, I kept hearing in my spirit the word "overthrown, overthrown." I knew it was in Scripture and eventually found it in Ezekiel 21:6-7 (NIV) where a few things jumped out to me:

"Therefore groan, son of man! Groan before them with broken heart and bitter grief. And when they ask you, 'Why are you groaning?' you shall say, 'Because of the news that is coming.'"
