It's becoming an epidemic - the Church and believers are getting weaker! We see many promises that are not fulfilled. Many of our expectations are now dissolved and people are exhausted.
 
Many believers and those in ministry have felt derailed and robbed. What happened to their confessions and their faith? They are leaving in despair…going back to their old ways…feeling duped. Meanwhile, others preach empty words.
 
While writing this article, the Lord began to stir in my understanding that the main problem is that we don’t fully activate all that Jesus already did for us. We know the Word, we know Truth...but we haven't fully walked in it.
 
Even today, the Sovereign God of all continues to show forth His love and His power. He does not change His mind. His love comes to fill you again with anticipation and Truth. Let hope arise. Grab onto hope.
 
It is Time
 
Beloved, it is time to look to the things that God FINISHED and promised for you. It is time to call upon the Lord!
 
That discontent is Divine. It is a Divine discontent. God calls you today to move forward into greater revelation and superior insight. Hear the Spirit of the Lord say NEW things…be released and renewed in the spirit of your mind (Eph. 4:23).
 
The answer is tooooo SIMPLE! Jesus said, “IT IS FINISHED” â€" that means His work was completed and that completion is ever present. And…He actually meant what He said.
 
Please notice the chasm between what we believed in the past and what FINISHED really means. Don’t dismiss effects of this finality has on the New Creation reality in Christ! The passive voice of this verb indicates that the subject of the sentence (IT) is being acted upon.  And the indicative mood indicates this is a statement of fact from the author’s perspective.       
 
BUT...If He did FINISH, then there is nothing left for us to do!  "… The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
 
One does not receive a free gift by working for it, or by doing something more. HE gives us eternal redemption. THE ONLY THING we must do is accept the FINISHED WORK, apprehend it, and believe it. The veil is rent â€" walk through.
 
The Kingdom of God has already come.  Salvation has come fully to you.  You don’t have to do anything to deserve God’s love.  You can reap what is already sown.  God is NOT mad at you â€" or the world.  He gives you strength to stand.
 
As joint heirs with Jesus, you have victory over the world, over sin, and… over Satan.  God speaks LIFE and not death.
 
If Jesus did not FINISH, He would not have been raised from the dead and our faith would be futile! (1 Cor. 15:17)
 
If Jesus did NOT FINISH everything…then He is not the Savior of the world, there is no need for the New Testament, no need for Church, no resurrection (He would not have had victory over death without finishing), no reason for celebration, and therefore, no hope.
 
And on the cross, He procured for us His abundant life, His glory, and total freedom! It's already been done.
 
BUT...If He DID FINISH, then there is nothing left for us to do! "… The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23). One does not receive a free gift by working for it, or by doing something more.
 
Eternal Redemption
 
HE gives us eternal redemption. If what He said was not true, He would not have been raised from the dead and our faith would be futile! (1 Cor. 15:17)  If you can comprehend a TRUTH â€" then IT is yours to activate. Otherwise, (if you cannot understand) then you could continue to wallow in the religious repetitions of doing something more. 
 
If this is true, you must begin to understand exactly WHAT else is now finished and HOW to grab hold of it. It’s time to repent of arrogant attitudes that would presume that you can add anything to what was PAID IN FULL already.
 
It's not about being good enough but it is about positioning yourself in order to apprehend (grab, seize) what God has already given.
 
That means no more guilt, no more Ishmael projects, and no more unnecessary obligation.  No more condemnation. No more begging and pleading. No more feeling like you did something wrong â€" or obligatory DOING.
 
Decide Today
 
When Jesus said, "It is finished," He meant it.  He is the author and FINISHER of your faith…YOU can do NOTHING to deserve it! It’s not about your theology. Not about our intellect. Not about your fastings and dutiful prayers. Not about your religion.
 
How can you do anything more to finish or bring about the work that Jesus has already completed?
 
Decide today to not live a life based on human effort (trying, always failing, never measuring up, and never being enough). KNOW that you are already holy, you are righteous, you are the image of God â€" complete and growing in Him!

There seems to be a lot more detachment these days. Too many sad stories°to much stress. Perhaps what we need now more than ever is to be more understanding, compassionate, and kind? There is an old saying called, "give yourself some slack." The idea of Giving Yourself Some Slack means that you start with yourself! The phrase is a sailing term from late 1700s that originally meant to loosen or give slack on a sail or rope. SLACK means to ease pressure upon situations and stop forcing a desired result.
Many actually see nothing wrong with how things have been going on. This confuses me. The Church is divided in many ways. It is fractured by personal opinions. With few exceptions, leaders know the church is declining, but they don't want to change their old mindset to find greater truth that would stop the decline. One major problem is the lack of believing Present Truth, the lack of teaching Truth, and the lack of searching for Truth. The question is, would you change your belief system in exchange for Greater Truth? Jesus became weary. He had been looking for her. He walked all the way to Samaria – because of TRUTH.
