As we crossed into 2016 I began to see and hear things about supernatural signs and wonders. I had one dream in particular where I saw a miraculous feather cloud appear in the middle of a church exploding in a brilliant rainbow of color. There was a glory of the presence of God that I felt in this dream. I knew that I would start seeing new signs and wonders as we entered into this year.I just spent 5 weeks in the USA ministering in about 15 different places. We saw tremendous signs and wonders break out. In fact some of the most amazing miracles I have seen happened so far in 2016. In one church in particular I started to laugh uncontrollably while praying for the sick. For me this was not a pleasant experience. The more I tried to be serious the harder the laugh became. I could not stop laughing while praying for a woman who had cancer. The sermon I preached that night was on how God's sits in the heavens mocking the devil's attempts at destroying our lives. My laughter was a sign of God's attitude toward the spirit of cancer.
Signs, Wonders and Miracles
The first meeting I did in the USA was very interesting. There was a man that stood up and told of a dream that he had around the beginning of the New Year. He said that in the dream he saw his old shotgun, which was a 222. He didn't understand why it stood out so much but when he woke up he started to see 222 everywhere he went. Perhaps you like this man have had occasions when you see number patterns everywhere you go. When this happens to me I ask God to show me the deeper meaning.
Given the dreams that I had of the supernatural prior to hearing this man's dream, when I hear 222 my mind wanders to Acts 2:22, which says, "Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know."
Two things I want to note about this scripture. First signs and wonders and miracles come from God to give accreditation of Jesus Christ as Lord. This is the foremost reason that signs and wonders take place. They show that Jesus came into the earth and died on the cross for our sins and was raised again. The writer of Hebrews in chapter two verse four says that signs and wonders testify to the gospel.
Secondly my belief is that the gospel should always be accompanied by signs and wonders and miracles following. This should be commonplace. Signs and wonders become the authority of the messenger that the message is real. They are the shotguns if you will that serve to awaken people to the voice of the Lord. Generally people are very stubborn. They don't just believe wholeheartedly what is spoken to them. They generally need evidence to support the truth of a given message. This is what God is doing with miracles.
Miracles Chosen By God
I don't know why God chooses the miracles that he does. I have seen a lot of Gold dust in my meetings, which generally can be very misunderstood. I had a lady in one of my meetings in Mississippi recently testify by saying that she was skeptical when she first saw the gold dust. She went to her church Sunday morning asking the Lord to confirm the miracle. She opened her bible randomly to Hebrews 12, which is the faith chapter in the bible. She said there was gold dust all over the page. She realized that God was saying she needed to accept the miracle by faith.
Gem stone miracles are easier to support by scripture. Exodus 24:9-10 describes an encounter that Moses and Aaron and 72 others had with the glory of God. In this passage we see these guys going up on the mountaintop where they were heading for an encounter with God. It says in that passage that when God appeared beneath his feet there was a pavement of gemstones beneath his feet - either a lupus lazuli or a sardius, which is bright blue in color. If God did it for Moses my belief is that it is also a possibility for us.
You see what I am learning is that when the presence of God comes the glory of Heaven comes with Him. What lies in glory realm begins to invade this realm and many manifestations take place that in the natural may seem a little strange.
I have also learned that many of the signs and wonders that do occur actually are speaking prophetically about the nature of our God. What we need to do is ask God about the deeper meaning of the miracle. God speaks through symbols and his language is more complex than ours. Of course the information that we receive should not go above what scripture says. When God speaks to our hearts and even through miracles, signs and wonders the message needs to line up with the spirit of Christ that is laid out in scripture.
Gemstones, Glory Dust and Oil
I was in a meeting in Tomball, Texas with Joan Hunter recently when multiple gemstones appeared and many people were covered in glory dust and oil. For me when God moves this way it is always special. The presence of God is manifest and strong. The oil for me represents God's oil on our lives like the oil that the five wise virgins had in their lamps in Matthew 25. Having the oil in our hearts represents a state of readiness to see the return of Jesus both physically and spiritually.
And when I see Glory dust I often see it under the light of a flashlight. To me this is truly prophetic because when the light of God hits our lives in Christ we shine with his glory. We often also see many different colors of glory dust which when you look at the deeper meanings of color in scripture is very interesting. Gold and silver represent refinement and to me when I see these colors on people I think of what God is doing in their hearts. Green represents life and I often see this on people. We also see bright blues, which speak of the revelation of the Lord. I also see oranges and pinks, which speak about glory, passion, fire and the angelic realm.
God is always speaking but are we interested in listening. God wants to speak in exciting ways. It is a daily adventure with him. I have now seen miracles break out so that thousands of people have seen them. I never get bored of the glory. I never get bored of the reactions that people have to the presence of God.
I pray that Jesus touches your life more deeply in this hour and that you have opportunities to encounter his glory in fresh ways this year. Truly signs and wonders are on the increase. Get ready for more.
