What did the apostle James say about David's Tabernacle?

Acts 15:16-17 "After this I (God) will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I (God) will build again the ruins thereof, and I (God) will set it up. That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called," saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

What did the prophet Amos say about David's Tabernacle?

Amos 9:11 In that day will I (God) raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I (God) will raise up his ruins, and I (God) will build it as in the days of old.

The Biblical Picture of David's Tabernacle

1 Chronicles 25:6 All these were at the hands of their father for song in the house of Jehovah, with cymbals, harps, and lyres, for the service of the house of God, at the hands of the king: (David) Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.

Asaph's name means; collected, convened or to assemble. The name Jeduthun means praise and Heman means faithful. When those fathers gathered together, you had an array of men that praised and were faithful in their worship unto God. The Levites worshiped the Lord with their voices, hands clapping and with various instruments. Scripture mentions, the whole house of Israel were partaking in the experience of worship unto God.

2 Samuel 6:5 And David and all the house of Israel were dancing before Jehovah with all instruments of fir wood, with lyres and with harps, and with tambourines, and with sistrums, and with cymbals.

In 2 Samuel 6:5 we can see that David is depicted as the forerunner of this God-designed worship model. The next section of this chapter will explain the embellishment that the worshipers brought forth unto God. The offices and positions of the singers, musicians and worshipers as found in 1 Chronicles 25:1-6.

1 Chronicles 25:1-2 And David and the commanders of the army separated some the service of the sons of Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, who were prophets with harps, with lyres and with cymbals. And their number, of the workmen according to their service, was of the sons of Asaph: Zeccur, and Joseph, and Ashariah, the sons of Asaph, who prophesied at the hands of King David.

They were prophets with instruments, prophet musicians, not just prophetic musicians.

Asaph was a leading singer or the lead singer and seer as referenced in the 1 Chronicles 6:39 passage. Today we would classify Asaph as a prophetic vessel of God. Historically, Asaph was first a seer, secondly a prophet, then lastly God's prophesying prophetic vocalist. With God's plans and purposes being at the forefront, we definitely need more prophets that hear and see and are also bold enough to prophesy and sing what they are hearing and seeing. That's what Jesus did, what His Father did in heaven.

Tabernacle of David Musicians, their Numbers and Offices

The three "Captains of the hosts,'' (chiefs) appointed by King David for song were, Asaph, Jeduthun and Heman. They were fathers who formed spiritual orders and were recognized teachers of the Divine mind and will of the Lord, like the mind of Christ.

1 Chronicles 25:2 From the sons of Asaph, there were Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asarelah. They worked under the direction (under the hands) of their father, Asaph, who proclaimed God's messages by the king's (David's) orders.

The first group of Tabernacle of David Kingdom Worshiping musicians found in 1 Chronicles 25:2.

They were Asaph's sons which comprised of only four musicians with singers. Accompanying on harps, (lyres, strings, guitars) psalteries (a plucked instrument of strings) and with cymbals, (used to regulate time) they were to prophesy unto God with prayer and singing when the hand of God came upon them while the minstrels played.

They were known as, "Utterers" in song of The Divine mind and will of God. In the passage of 1 Chronicles 25:1 the meaning of the words, "Who should prophesy" is to utilize the voice in the sacred service, under Divine impulse.

1 Chronicles 25:3 Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah and Mattithiah, and Shimei, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun who prophesied with the lyre to give thanks and to praise Jehovah.

The second group of musicians mentioned in David's Tabernacle are in 1 Chronicles 25:3. They are the sons of Jeduthun, under the hands of their father and were comprised of six people, which included their father Juduthun. Jeduthun led them by prophesying on the harp (lyres, strings, guitars) and also praised and thanked God. His five sons also gave praise unto God with their father.

1 Chronicles 25:5-6 All these were the sons of Heman, the king's (David's) seer in the words of God, (The words "in the words of God," describes Heman as the chosen, approved man of verbal communication between God and King David) to lift up the horn. "To lift up the horn," means, "to honor someone."

Jesus is to be honored and worshiped, He is our Horn of Salvation. It's a great honor to blow the shofar but then God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters. (The number of children is a mark of honor God set upon Heman) 6.) All these were under the directions (hands) of their father, in the song of the house of God, with cymbals, psalteries and harps for the service of the house of God, under the directions of the king (David), Asaph, Jeduthun and Heman.

The third group of worshipers found in this section, involving the musicians, singers and worshipers in David's Tabernacle is located in 1 Chronicles 25:5-6. It was the largest assemble of musicians, singers and worshipers. It was comprised of seventeen people, its assembly was a horn section and three of them were women (those women were employed among the singers). In musical terms, this was a large-sized horn section, as 1 Chronicles 25:5 mentions, Heman was King David's seer and Heman's sons musical instruments where the horn and to lift it up before God.

In 1 Chronicles 25:5 scripture speaks of a "sounding the trumpet," in the words of prophecy, before God, "the horn of prophecy," "to lift up the horn," "to prophesy on instruments" or "The horn of prophecy," "To sound with the trumpet in the words of prophecy before God." Jesus is our horn of prophecy. Revelation 19:10 mentions that, "Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy." Jesus contains the Spirit of God, God Himself!

Revelation 19:10 And I fell before his feet and worshiped him, and he said to me, "No! I am your fellow Servant and of your brothers who have the testimony of Yeshua. Worship God, rather, for the testimony of Yeshua is the spirit of prophecy."

In The Tabernacle of David, there were a total of twenty-seven people who were the actual worship musicians and singers grouped together with David's captains (chiefs, fathers) of the host. We also recognize the representation of the twenty-four sons and daughters, account for the twenty-four courses of musicians and singers, then each had eleven scholars and the scholars multiplied, adding up to a total of 288 worshipers on around and near the core team of 24, as in around or near the altar location.

1 Chronicles 25:7-8 So the number of them [who led the remainder of the 4,000], with their kinsmen who were specially trained in songs for the Lord, all who were "talented singers," was 288. [The musicians] cast lots for their duties, small and great, teacher and scholar alike.

Through reading scripture, we find all of Israel weren't only dancing before God, they were playing musical instruments, singing and worshiping before the Lord also. All of Israel wasn't exclusive to only the called, gifted and trained musicians, singers and worshipers either, nobody was excluded. God's whole entire congregation was and still is a very important portion mentioned in this section of scripture. As I previously mentioned in the book of 2 Samuel 6:5, all of Israel danced before Jehovah with all manner instruments of fir wood, lyres, harps, tambourines, sistrums and with cymbals.

In reference to David's worship courses, there was a specific order. That is the precious highlight and focus of the work of this book. To restore David's Tabernacle, including the worship design is what God said He wants to restore. Not simply our lifestyles being a metaphorical expression as His tabernacles. Not discounting that, it's important too.

1 Chronicles 15:16 David told the chief Levites to appoint their brethren the singers with instruments of music—harps, lyres, and cymbals—to play loudly and lift up their voices with joy.

In these next two passages of scripture alone are found many excellent reasons why believers in Christ, should be worshiping God entirely differently than what we're observing in Christ's Church today. We've all heard this said many times before, "It's time to come up to a higher level in worshiping God." In reference to worshiping God, we must give up our plans for sanctuary worship. That is the proper choice towards coming into alignment with God's heart for intimate praise and worship in the tabernacles of God.

1 Chronicles 23:5 Moreover four thousand [were] porters; and four thousand praised the LORD with the instruments which I made, [said David], to praise [therewith].

So, what we read and observe from scripture is, a definitive order of God's divine worship assemble. We also read and observe that God never removed dancing and playing of instruments or freedom to worship God from within the sanctuary. That is what a religious spirit does best. In observation of scripture, we see there were three fathers overseeing and worshiping in the Tabernacle of David.

The worshipers were not only lifting up praise and thanks unto God, but musical and vocal prophetic utterances were also coming forth from the musicians and singers, for they were truly gifted by God to do so. If they weren't prophesying on their instruments, they were following those who did. That was the spiritual precept embraced in the Tabernacle of David, by obedient leaders who were called, appointed and positioned by God, for all who adore, love and reverence Him.

Most of Christ's church has been observing many different worship teams and speakers. It's time for the entertainment, spectator mentality to stop. It's time to do what we, 'Christ's church hear and see that God's Spirit is leading us to do. Not that a powerfully anointed worship team or speakers aren't important, they are, but the Gospel of Jesus Christ isn't about well-known worship leaders or special speakers alone, it's about all of Christ Jesus body in action.

Worship teams are to be revived, on fire for Christ and sold out for Jesus. Even though complacency and entertainment may come into many of Christ's churches, there should be no provision made for those two spirits to land. With those two hindrances eradicated, the demand upon altar worship leaders and teams would be eternally altered. To seriously ignite and stir true, "Tabernacle of David" worship designs and models, church and worship overseers are going to have to be flexible enough to learn what the order of David's Tabernacle worship really looked like.

There were twenty-seven worshiping musicians on the altar, all totaled, 288, along with 42,360 joining in on various instruments and singing from within the congregation, all playing hymns and spiritual songs. That's what it means to tabernacle with God, after David's Tabernacle order in The Spirit and The Truth. What a glorious sound that must've been. In my lifetime, I so long to hear that sound restored within Christ's church.

The Realignment of Godly Worship

When Christ's church relinquishes its control, Tabernacle of David Kingdom Worship will be brought back into manifestation. That's not to say we're to be completely rebellious against God's order, that's not advisable. As believers in Christ, we're to submit to God's order from God's Spirit. God definitely wants His order, not our ungodly disorder. The restoration of Tabernacle of David Kingdom Worship is the return of the fullness of the true sound of Christ's church.

That's the reason Jesus said in John 23, 24; "A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in The Spirit and in The Truth (reality); for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers. 24 God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in The Spirit and The Truth (reality)."

Up to this point in church history, the traditional view of worship within Christ's church has had real validity but it's now time to put down the traditionalistic man-designed worship programs and go back to doing things God's way. Otherwise we're going to be sitting in more worship services that are as attending a movie out with the family.

Always observing, hoping to be brought into God's presence through an entertainment spirit on worship teams and a spirit that wants to be entertained on us, God's worshiper's. That's actually an excellent example of co-dependence, which is a spiritually unhealthy thing. God simply wants us to worship Him with total abandonment, away from all of our earthly desires.

Some might believe it's unnecessary to have Tabernacle of David modeled worship schooling or worship schools within Christ's church but God clearly had schooling right in His tabernacles. And it wasn't on a special date or time, it was whenever David's captain's gathered to worship God in David's tabernacle.

As I said before, 'God allowed His people freedom to worship Him on all manner of instruments and singing!' If we don't allow this biblical mandate from God to be brought forth, we'll continue to be victims of a religious (vehicle) system. We'll end up going hopelessly around in circles looking for God, when He's simply found in Spirit and Truth worship church! Whether Christ's church has revelation (realizes) of it or not, we are definitely our Father's (God's) Davidic generation.

In observation of 2 Samuel 6:5, all of Israel (Zion; Christ's church) worshiping God on all manner of instruments; Christ's corporate church setting is the scriptural place to allow God's people to worship Him, in the Tabernacle of David design and created by God. It's time to allow God's design for worship to come forth and leave behind the spirit of religion that has come directly against Christ's command, when Jesus said His precious words found in John 4:23-24.

Jesus said, "A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true worshipers (genuine) will worship the Father in The Spirit and in The Truth (reality); for the Father is seeking just such a people as these as His worshipers. God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in The Spirit and in The Truth."

The choice to believe and follow what Jesus said is up to us and those we gather alongside. Over the years I've witnessed three people groups that show signs of following in the ways of God's Tabernacle of David Kingdom Worship. They are in no particular order as that isn't important, African Americans, Native Americans and Messianic Jews. My intention in sharing that is that we'll all be stirred to follow in Spirit and Truth worship with God's design.

When the liberty of Tabernacle of David Kingdom Worship order is brought into restoration, God's Glory will definitely be observed and experienced like no other time in Christ's church history. This will be first manifested then seen. The restoration of Tabernacle of David Kingdom Worship is completely biblical.

Christ's church and its overseers may still believe they are in control but it is God that is in control. Jesus Christ of Nazareth, not anyone of us, is the one who said in Matthew 16:18.

"On this rock (revelation) I will build my church, and the power of death (gates of Hades/the underworld) will not be able to defeat it." The biggest dilemma facing Christ's church is letting go of the reigns of control to let God's Son Christ, lead His church.

When we begin to truly worship God in His Spirit and Truth mandated order, it enables us to freely rise above all warfare coming against us. God's Glory then comes altering all things at His altar, which is Jesus Christ, God's tabernacle of Grace.

God alters all things at His altars, we're to boldly approach God's throne of Grace. In Christ's church there are altars, thrones of grace to approach God with boldness to find mercy and grace.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us come therefore publicly to the throne of his grace to receive mercy, and we shall find grace to help in a time of suffering.

Jesus is God's tabernacle of Grace. In Christ, We belong to God. We are tabernacles of the Son of David, Jesus Christ of Nazareth!
