Changing Forms by Pam Clark

You know that when you bake a cake, you take a number of different ingredients and combine them and then take that soupy mix and put it into a pan and into the hot oven and it changes - into a cake texture. We like that! And if you are hungry for a home cooked pizza, you prepare it from scratch, or you get one that is not cooked from the freezer and you put that in the oven - and it changes form. If you don't put it in the oven, it's not going to taste good or right at all and it's not healthy and you are going to feel sick! No, you need it to change forms. People are changing forms! You see it from the womb to birth, to childhood, to teens, young adults, older adults and to aged adults. There are many processes going on!

So I think you have gotten the point here that things are changing. Things are happening! When you plant a seed into the ground, when you first see that seed, you hold it in your hand; it's just a hard little thing with a strange shape. So you put it into the ground and you plant it at the right season, and then you water it, and tend it, keeping the weeds away, adding a little fertilizer if needed, and that seed totally changes into something else!

Hopefully it will reproduce like it is designed to and provide some fruit of some sort that is beneficial. It's a changed form! And it's a blessed form, because a seed will multiply itself. That's really a wonderful thing! And when you think about how far back things have gone, how many transitions did it take for that seed that you held in your hand to get here from the beginning of time when it was created? It's just a fascinating curiosity! There is a God design that man does not
control.

We're a Mixture

The Body of Christ is a mixture of parts and ingredients. And we need the right ingredients for things to come together right. When people try to tell other people how to "be," if they are not contributing the right ingredients or amounts, it is NOT going to be what you think it should be! Too much of something can be too much - or maybe there is not enough.

Without the Spirit of God, humans would be only in the flesh, and that is every man for himself, in the strongest and most brutal of ways. We need God's Spirit working on each one of us, manifesting in each of us, the ministry gifts He has set in motion.

All those "parts" become a whole. If some of the "ingredients" are missing and if the mix is not under the "heat pressure" of the Spirit, then what is ideal or right is not going to manifest! Too many today are upset that God is not working on others the same way they feel He is working on them. They dictate to others "mandates" and they are not "fitting" either. They are missing the "personal" relationship WITH HIM. It is valuable for each one!

Instead of coming together for a good result, they are warring more and more with each other, fruitlessly comparing themselves to one another and it often results in the works of the flesh with no "oven" or the Spirit transition of making the wanted and needed changes.

No, we need to go to God and not be afraid of His encounters with us. People tell a lot of dramatic stories, but if God is real, and He is, then we each need to be our part. We need to let that encounter of the Holy Spirit make a change in us, and we need to work to bring the right atmosphere so the Holy Spirit will come and change us all into that good and delightful mix, that has power and pleasure and FUNCTION for the good of all!

Follow Christ, Not Man

God is not going to insult us into His blessing. He may make some strong points, but it is NOT a contest of wills! He is also not going to just baby us all the time. Because we won't be the Body anymore than that soupy mix will be a sweet cake without all the proper ingredients at the right measures in the right forms and temperature for the transformation. If it is not right, it will be seen and experienced as "not right."

Yes, we follow the Spirit but we don't follow people to be cloned by them. Yes, we follow Jesus, just like our awesome elders have, but we are following Christ (the Anointed One with the Anointing), not man! If we don't come together in the right ways, we are going to be like the ingredients in a box just going stale until it comes together right. We will go backwards to the flesh and spoil.

There are many gifts in the Body, and the less we come together and get it right, the less strength and gift and blessings and even needed power we will have. When we cut off the parts, especially essential ingredients, the less it is likely that we will be what we are supposed to be. We won't have a boast of Christ at all!

I could not even write this if I did not have prayers and support. It takes a Spiritual energy and strength. It takes calling on my "ingredients" available. How many things do we not see because people are seeing each other and not the Lord? If we don't hear what OUR parts are, how can we come together in a righteousness that makes the difference?

The farmer has to go through a lot and do a lot of hard work to get to us the ingredients to make us those meals we like so much. And if we do not protect our food and handle it wisely, we could all be pretty sick!

Figure out who you are, realize you need Jesus and then let HIM transform you into something that makes you proud and glad. He gets the credit, but that joy coming from us has a great strength if it is used wisely.
