TRANSITION, CHANGE, AND LOOKING AHEAD By Joni Ames
TIME OF SUDDENLIES
It's a time of "suddenlies" in the Lord, both good and bad. Expect the unexpected. But remember, even in times of unrest and/or disaster, that His heart is FOR you, and He has GOOD plans for you! (Jer. 29:11) Focus on HIM, not the situations.
BIG PERCHES FALLING
I saw really big perches falling, and heard the psalm of David:
(7) Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. (8) Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret--it only causes harm. (9) For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the Lord, They shall inherit the earth. (10) For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, But it shall be no more. (11) But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. (12) The wicked plots against the just, And gnashes at him with his teeth. (13) The Lord laughs at him, For He sees that his day is coming. (14) The wicked have drawn the sword And have bent their bow, To cast down the poor and needy, To slay those who are of upright conduct. (15) Their sword shall enter their own heart, And their bows shall be broken. (16) A little that a righteous man has Is better than the riches of many wicked. (17) For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, But the Lord upholds the righteous. (18) The Lord knows the days of the upright, And their inheritance shall be forever. (19) They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. (20) But the wicked shall perish; And the enemies of the Lord, Like the splendor of the meadows, shall vanish. Into smoke they shall vanish away. (Psalm 37:7-20)
We will yet see that the "Esthers" will be requited, the Hamans hang on their own gallows, and the Mordecais come in position next to The King.
RIGHTEOUS LEADERS ARISING
The fear of the Lord will cause TRULY righteous leaders to arise in this time, and their perches will be secured by the Lord:
(1) Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; (2) But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. (3) He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. (Psalm 1:1-3)
And now for a little while grace has been shown from the Lord our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a measure of revival in our bondage. (Ezra 9:8)
HE WILL BLESS THOSE WHO BLESS YOU
I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." (Genesis 12:3)
Even those who are non Christians, but who will hire and properly treat God's people will be blessed. And they will know it and fear and turn to God because of it.
DON'T SECOND GUESS YOURSELF!
Don't second guess yourself! You DO hear from God!
For "who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ. (1 Co 2:16)
Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. (1 Pe 1:13)
SOME MISC. ITEMS
(1) We are on borrowed time regarding the New Madrid and California fault lines. Continue to pray that the Lord "heal our land" in those areas.
(2) There are many women arising in this time to positions of affluence and influence. Continue to pray for the Mordecai's to come forth to help them.
(3) Continue to pray for Pres. Bush and his family. He is still our president, and the Lord requires that of us. The enemy seeks to sift him as wheat - even though his term is soon ending. Pray that the plots of the wicked be destroyed, and that Pres. Bush will finish well.
(4) Continue to pray for the presidential election - that only the ones God wants in office will arise.
(5) Continue to pray that those who are supposed to get out and vote WILL do so, and that any illegal voting be uncovered.
(6) Vote! - In prayer AND at the polls!
IN CLOSING
In closing, there is much that will happen - seemingly one overlapping another. While we want to be informed, we must not allow ourselves to be consumed by the news reports. We need to guard our hearts and minds, spend time in worship with the Lord, and spend time loving on our loved ones. Remember - God IS still on the throne!
PRAYER
Dear Lord,
Help us to keep our minds and hearts stayed upon you, and our mouths filled with your praise. Help us to be an encouragement to others, no matter how things look. And allow us to know and hear your heart and will, and be obedient. Please keep our families and us safe in this time, and draw us closer together in your love. Let none be taken from this earth before their time and assignment is through. And most especially, before giving their lives to you, Lord. Keep our nation safe and at peace. May your will be done in this nation in the elections. We thank you in advance for your miraculous! In Jesus' name, Amen.
