ON THE BACK OF A DONKEY
(A word for America)
I believe the Lord gave to me this following word for our nation. Before reading it, let the reader understand that the term "elephant" refers to the Republican party, and the term "donkey" refers to the Democratic party. Also, understand that it does not mean that anyone involved would be looked to as any type of "savior," for there is only ONE savior, and that is the Lord Jesus Christ. Also, as a friend of mine told me, "It takes both a right and a left wing for the eagle to fly."

THE WORD

I tried to use an elephant, but the elephant forgot and even trampled the purpose for which I put it in place. And so now, says the Lord, just as I did in Numbers 22, I shall speak through a donkey. This time, to the nation of the United States of America.
And I shall remind her that, if (and as) she returns to that for which she was established, she will again begin to flourish as one nation, under God, un-dividable.
The prophet Balam refused to bless a nation that I called blessed. But I called this nation to be a "no fear," truth based, and blessed nation. Not for sale. But one who trusts in MY economy, rather than the world's. One who belongs to Me, and refuses the curses the enemy tries to place upon her.
Therefore, hear what the Spirit says to the Church in America: Return to Me, and I will return to you!
Yes, as I came once before to Jerusalem, so I come to you now - riding on the back of a donkey.
Choose this day what God you will serve! Mammon? Or the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob?
The pride of this nation is being corrected and judged, because I love her - so that what remains will be that which is holy, humble, and good.

INTERPRETATION

I do not believe the Lord is saying that anyone else is any sort of Savior or that any political party stands for total righteousness, or anything like that.
However, what I do believe that is happening is that the Lord is going to use what has happened to return our nation to Him. It may be through "bad" or "good" things that happen, but the purpose will be to draw us closer to Him. Through it, the Lord is riding in on the back of the donkey.
Additionally, just as when the Apostle Peter saw the sheet come down out of heaven and the Lord spoke to him to not call unclean what He calls clean, so the Lord speaks to us. We are to remember that God is the one who ultimately puts governments into place. We are the ones that He ascribes the duty to of praying for them. Not word cursing them!
The past year or two of President Bush's term, the Church dropped the ball in regard to praying for him. Instead, they word cursed him. We must not do so with another president. If we cease to pray, we will get what we will have to pray all the harder for.
The Church is commanded to pray for our nation's leaders. As we do, we are praying for our own safety and protection. Therefore it would just be smart to do so!
"I exhort therefore, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." (1 Tim. 2:1,2)

PERSECUTION BRINGS REVIVAL

It is very likely that we are about to experience extreme persecution in America. Even the news media is warning that we may see a major terror attack occur very soon. My prayer is that the prognosticators are wrong. However, it would behoove us all to stay clear of major cities, major events, and even airline flights, as much as possible.
The good news is: I believe we are about to see the greatest revival of all time. But as we take a look at Bible history, the greatest revival has most always occurred during the midst of the greatest persecution. Therefore, the bad news is: We in America are likely also about to experience the greatest persecution we have ever known.
Thankfully, we have the promise of Isaiah 60:1 & 2, "(1) Arise, shine; your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. (2) For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you."
When the fire of God comes, it consumes that which is not of Him, and that which remains is good and true.
Isaiah 26:9b says, "For when Your judgments are in the earth, The inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness."

"TERROR ALLERT ELEVATED"

The enemy has seemingly been pulling out all the stops to bring forth "personal" persecution and/or "terrorism" in these times. Many have been experiencing trying to put out "fires" on nearly every front - job loss, mortgage failures, health scares, financial difficulties, family or relationship problems, etc.
This is a time of great transition in America. A time when many are experiencing the beckoning of the Lord to move to "safer" territory, and to be closer to loved ones. A time when downsizing and simplification of lifestyles is greatly encouraged. A time when there seems to be a growing expectation of unknown, and serious days ahead. - Therefore, may families are pooling their resources in order to survive.
Some of the key elements of survival in the days ahead (in the natural) will be to downsize, economize, and pool our resources.

PEACE OF MIND

Peace of mind will be the primary target to go for in this time and season. The Bible says, "You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You (Lord), Because he trusts in You." (Isaiah 26:3)

PRAYER

Father, thank you for your love and faithfulness. Please be with us in these times, and teach us your ways and how you want us to pray and to respond to all that is going on. Give us mercy and grace in this, our time of need, in America. In Jesus name, amen.
