Our Faith is In God!

Everybody I talk to these days seems to be occupied by the economic crisis that has hit our nation and the world.  I was in England when our Congress was voting on the first "bail out" package and remember running into people in the streets of London who were literally weeping because they were so scared about the future.  If you listen to the media you could become very depressed and despondent about the whole situation.

Thank God that as Christians we are not dependent on this world's system to prosper and succeed.  God has told us not to be anxious or fearful about anything.  He is our God and Provider. In Psalm 35:27 God said: " Let those who favor my righteous cause and have pleasure in my uprightness shout for joy and be glad and say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, Who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant."

If there is one thing we can be assured of as Christians it is that God always looks out for our best interest and He is a God who keeps His promises.  He promised that if we do not grow weary in doing the right thing we will reap the harvest.  The harvest God wants us to have is a natural as well as a spiritual one.  There are many Christians who have become discouraged because they have yet to see their harvest.  They have sown and sown and sown but there has not been the expected return.  The problem is not God.  GOD IS NEVER THE PROBLEM, HE IS ALWAYS THE SOLUTION!  Please remember that God is not keeping the harvest from us.

One of the main problems in receiving God's harvest is that a lot of Christians don't really believe that God wants to prosper them. This is a huge hindrance in receiving the harvest God wants them to have.

I want to encourage you today not to give up if you are going through a tough time financially!  God is for you and wants to bless you.  I don't care what happens with the economy.  If you live right and walk with God you can live unaffected by the world system because you have settled into God's system. God's economical system is "CRASH-FREE".  When you follow God and do what is right to the best of your ability then the devil, economies, crises, and world events have no power to govern your life.

There is a wonderful story in Genesis 26 about how God prospered Isaac in the middle of a famine (crisis).  The Word tells us that there was a famine in the land during Isaac's time and everyone was running to Egypt to escape this famine.  While all this was going on God told Isaac to stay and sow in the land of famine.  What a strange request. I wonder what his wife and relatives thought when he told them they were going to stay when everybody else was leaving?  Verse 12 tells us that Isaac obeyed God, sowed in that land and God greatly blessed him.  Many people don't receive their harvest because they refuse to sow and obey in a time of crisis.  One of the reasons the devil likes to throw a financial crisis at us is to stop us from sowing to cease the harvest of our future!  The devil sees what we want to do with our harvest so he wants to stop us from receiving it.

He is trying to abort your call and destiny my friends, and sometimes he will come at you so strong that you think it's all over.  The devil likes to wear out the saints to get them to give up.

When you walk through a financial crisis please don't hoard your seed, sow it! What you hold back God can't multiply.  When you sow a seed in the middle of your crisis you're saying that you're still obeying kingdom principles and that you're not going to disconnect from God to solve your problems.  When you give you put something in the hands of God to turn things around.  God shows us in His Word that you can walk out of a desert into a promised land if you will stay obedient to His word!

God is pleased when you do things in faith.  It takes faith to give, especially when you're in the middle of a crisis but God gets pleasure out of your FAITH.  Isaac got blessed because he went forward in the middle of a crisis and he became very great.  He received the good of the land in spite of the famine! Your seed sown in a crisis is your first step out of your crisis!
