The Treasure Must Come out!

There is something
very striking with this passage and the second letter. There are so many things
when today can undermine unless there is proper teaching and explanation the
faith can be reproached.
The whole area of
suffering, trials and tribulations has always, and will always be
misunderstood. It is a known fact that the human nature does not want and does
not want anything to do with suffering. I just wonder if what we call the
"prosperity gospel" is an excuse to negate the area of suffering. I can only
wonder!
The treasure only comes out when there are trials of
faith.
1.
IT IS A TRIAL OF FAITH: It is our faith
that is the focus. Compare with the story of Job. The faithfulness and
integrity was the focus of the testing. There is a focus on our testing. Where
the focus is, is where the blessing is when we pass the test. James 1 says that
there is a CROWN WHEN WE PASS THE TEST!
2.
IT IS A TRIAL OF JOY; The devil wants to see, God
also, where is our joy based? Joy is a strength, is a power, which defeats the
enemies of our soul. Hebrews 1 says joy set Jesus above His Angels and above
everything.who for the joy set before Him.joy to be conquered, to win over
everything. When is joy sensed? When it is given.and it is given by God as a
conduit of strength.
3.
IT IS A TRIAL OF COMFORT: Our whole
understanding of comfort is wrong. We see comfort as the absence of all that
which wears us down. The fact is that God presents through two men, true divine
comfort. Through Nehemiah and Noah, whose names mean: Comfort. They come into
the fore to bring order, and new dimensions of living after a period of Divine
Discipline. I believe the Holy Spirit, who is the Comforter, brings a
overturning of the sin nature, the killing off of the Old Man, so that the new
dimensions of divine life can be lived out.
4.
It is a trial of Character: The fruit of all
this, is character. Job kept character, David regained character, Samson
renewed character, Jacob fought to have character. How much more today. What
will it take to establish God's character in us? Only God and I know.
This for me has been deep reflection. Please reflect for yourself

Revelation 1 gives us an insight into this reality. When you consider the persecutions of the first apostles you see that what is happening today is not so developed in a concerted effort to persecute the Church, I think we are on the threshold of an end time persecution which shall fill the "cup of iniquity" of the whole world. This shall be pivotal for the end. This series which I started just after the new year has the motivation of preparing the saints for what is coming. What is coming can only be walked through when we are duly prepared in the Word and the Spirit.

Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another? Matthew 11:2 This chapter is so interesting when you examine the processes that John the Baptist was going through in prison, when he sent messengers to Jesus. This question in the title of this message means something has changed with John in his perception of Jesus, and his expectation of the Messiah. When you research how John recognizes Jesus, as the Messiah you have to go to John 1, to see what God said and revealed to him in the wilderness.

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Isaiah 40:3 KJV The call of John into the wilderness is a demarcation in forsaking family duty, what is expected and what the Law determines. John is the son of a priest. As sons, it is predetermined that they follow the course. The Scripture in Isaiah 40 represents some unheard of movement of the Lord. It represents an apparent break with conformity for the objective of bringing about the greatest prophetic task ever undertaken until Jesus.
