Power (Greek: dunamis) means more
than strength or ability; it's an action in operation. In the Gospel of Luke
and in Acts, we are given keys to unlocking the fullness of the Holy Spirits
power, including the authority to drive out demons and evil spirits and the
anointing to heal the sick. These two are signs that accompany the Kingdom of
God.Releasing the Power of the Holy Spirit
The baptism is in the Holy
Spirit. It is God's provision for
releasing the power of the Holy Spirit into the believer's life. Jesus Himself is the one who baptizes His
believers in the Holy Spirit. In John 1:33, John the Baptist says: I would not have known him, except that the one who sent me
to baptize with water told me, "The man on whom you see the Spirit come down
and remain is he who will baptize with the Holy Spirit." Acts 1:8 goes on to say: But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you;
and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to
the ends of the earth.
When you are baptized in the Holy Spirit and you receive the power that
comes with it, you will witness for Christ so the lost will be won over to
Him. That is one of the ways that we are
able to honor by partnering with the Holy Spirit, so Jesus will make himself
known through us. Jesus will be known
all over the World, as Messiah, the one who knew no sin, and laid down His
life, so He could and can redeem yours.
John 5:23 "...that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son, does not honor
the Father, who sent him."
That's how we run this race, full
of the power of the Holy Spirit and all we need is already accessible to each
of us. The Holy Spirit becomes more real
to us as our relationship grows deeper. The baptism in the Holy Spirit is the
initiation point of the Key, for the power to live in Holiness, committed to
God, and the building of God's Kingdom.
It is simply the beginning of an awesome journey.
Father, just like the day of
Pentecost 120 [which is the promises of God ] we're in the upper room, waiting
[like many of your children]. One drop
of oil fell from heaven. As it accelerated
to earth that one drop become Fire and 120 sons and daughters were ignited into
their callings. All 120 went from active to accelerated! Today Lord let your sons and daughters be
refreshed and renewed in you! I hear a
new E.R.A. evangelism/radical/acceleration will explode in you! In Jesus name.
