It's time that each of us began walking in what we have been given, don't you agree? The Spirit through Paul makes it clear: "we have the mind of Christ" (1Cor.2:16). That being the case, this week I want to give you some food for thinking with Christ's mind.

What's below is just enough to get you hungry for more, because if you don't get in there with Christ where He's thinking, all I can do is give you morsels that won't be enough to cure the pain of emptiness, or the spiritual diseases of malnutrition & dementia (Jas.1:8; 21-25 & 2Pe.1:3-9).

Here goes:

When it Comes to Your Life, Keep it Simple 

The Father is the Architect of your life (Psa.139:15-17) 

The Son is the Contractor over building it (Mt.16:13-18) 

The Holy Spirit is the Foreman you must report to & follow (Ro.8:14)  

There are Promises & There are Processes  

Processes from God are truly in His hands, when . . .   

Promises from God live truly in our heart.  

Suddenly Faith vs. Persevering Faith  

To see a promise fulfilled, you will often need to persevere in order to arrive at a "suddenly." 

If all you are preparing for is a "suddenly," when God (instead) calls for perseverance, you'll have neither.

Believing God with and for Others 

We need to be open to God about what He wants to do with others.

We also need to be open to others about what God wants to do with us.

Technology vs. Anointing 

If it is being (or can be) done by man apart from God, it is not promotable as coming "from the Lord." 

Just because believers said it, made it, did it or succeeded at it: that doesn't sanctify it as "Christian." 

It's time we received, learned and lived by God's technology: the anointing.  

The Anointing and Revelation  

The objective Word confirms you (Bible). 

The revelatory Word expands you (rhema).

But the anointing teaches you (1Jn.2:27; Jn.15:17; 16:13).  

So When Life is in Front of You, Make and Keep it Simple

Ask anyone who has been 'in the way' with the Lord during the last 30-40 years &- regardless of reports of 'this and that' happening 'here, there & everywhere' - they will almost certainly tell you, 'Things in the church are going in the wrong direction.' By & large, they are onto something that most either ignore, or refuse to see. Of course, to face this stark reality takes an honesty which betrays organizational priorities, baked-in patterns of promotional hype & the fleeting forecasts of coming circumstantial change. Moreover, to face this reality requires a humility very few are willing to even personally face, let alone publicly admit. Therefore, the question: how will we stop regressing, turn it around & then go forward?
Part 1 emphasized that we must not let go of this absolute reality: there is a quietness in God that He designed and desires for each of us. And just as importantly, that promise, and grace is also granted and to be seized for our surroundings. But since the prevailing winds of lifestyle in our world today are not conducive to this, many regard God's promise either skeptically, as laughable, or virtually impossible. But again, the absolute reality is there is a quietness in God that He has designed and desires for each of us - one that not only quiets the spirit but restores the soul and will even bring wholeness to the body. Believing that revelation of the Lord, the question most often becomes 'how do I get there from here?'
Everything in our society today reminds me of my 7th and 8th grade Middle School orchestra room. Just before attempting to quiet the various instruments - all of them blasting, clanging, strumming, or banging their noises as loud and long as possible- the director would then make several attempts by raising his voice. That said, today we must not let go of the absolute reality that there is a quietness in God that He designed and desires for each of us and - believe it or not - for our surroundings. Since the latter may seem not only unlikely but virtually impossible, it often causes the former - a personal quietness in God - to either be skeptically regarded or surrendered outright.
