There is a lot to be concerned
about, in America and in the world!
There is great good, but also great evil. Even for good to survive, it has to be the plan
of almighty God. And I do believe He
likes to honor the good in our hearts that come from His Nature.
When you read the Scriptures, you
can figure out that God has a plan, even if you can't figure out all the plan. But the more you get to know Him, the more
that plan is revealed to you and then you have to kindly work it out with
others. God's real plan works for all,
with His grace and love for all - IN His plan.
It has decency and order. It has
demands and benefits!
It is something we discover by
seeking Him. Not only is it what He is
doing but it is about what we are called to do.
When we discover that, a whole new world opens up inside of us that has
an expansion force. It's a force for
good!
God Means Good for Us
Prayers for God's justice will
clean up our governments. When we realize that God means good for us, we can
agree with Him more than just even submitting to Him. Sinners can submit, but
those who agree walk with Him.
One time when there was a rash of
terrorism going on in the Mid-East, I cried out to the Lord about it and He
gave me Jeremiah 2:2. It says: "Go and cry in the hearing of Jerusalem, saying, 'Thus says
the Lord: I remember you, The kindness of your youth, The love of your
betrothal, When you went after Me in the wilderness, In a land not sown.'"
The part that stood out to me was
"a land that was not sown." I
knew He was talking about the Living Word of God - the part that is alive. Now we can rain down Bibles and tracts for
years but if the power of Love is not sown, too, it's not really going to work
as it could just be legalism.
The hard part is that there are
such strongholds of the enemy and the Church has to get wise in how to
overcome. We need to understand God's ideas of Love. And God has given us gifted people who can
help us overcome. We just have to find
them and honor them. We honor what we
see the Lord doing.
Love is not just emotional, but
it has emotion. It's not just
"rules" but rules really can help! Traffic lights help. The Ten Commandments can help! They create a decent and in order society.
We need to study how God reached
a people, and a nation, and how He is reaching a world! Then we need to find
our place and part and run with it!
Who is the Holy Spirit?
Today it seems people can easily
be more hard hearted than they used to be.
And I guess that even can depend upon your personal circumstances, but
overall, many of the older generation do lament on how society is not as
considerate as it used to be. America
has been a land that was sown, but it doesn't seem so much anymore.
The news people are blaming
people locked into their cell phones/ computer worlds and shutting out others
because they are so into it that they have become anti-social to those around
them, but I really do think there is more to it than that. I think we are losing the Spirit of God in
our land and it is a plague for us. We have to have wisdom to live, and if we
are raised not to care, we are programming the Spirit out. It takes His power to live a good life.
Now obviously some people are
more social than others but we need to be aware of what and who the Holy Spirit
is! We are created in the image of God
and have the capability to be like Him - at the least in personality. He will always be God and Father and He is
Eternal but He spawned us for fellowship and adventure.
The Lord is into social engineering
but the enemy is an enemy to it and seems to want his own world. It's not good. The only way we win is with the Lord! We
can't win over the enemy unless we have a plan for overcoming!
We have to have a belief for
overcoming in our own soul! And that
takes faith. And an understood faith is
a powerful force. So what can we do
about it? We can believe the Word of
God. We can believe God gave us His spiritual
book to help us and even gave different ministries to help us understand it.
Being in Agreement with God
Praying out loud can really be a
big help. And as I was praying the other
day, Psalm 67 in the New Living Translation really jumped out at me. When the world seems to be going down the
tube, I have determined to pray this short prayer, and I hope you will join me!
Psalm 67:1-7 May God be merciful and bless us. May his face smile with favor on us. May your ways be known throughout the earth,
your saving power among people everywhere.
May the nations praise you, O God.
Yes, may all the nations praise you.
Let the whole world sing for joy, because you govern the nations with
justice and guide the people of the whole world. May the nations praise you, O God. Yes, may
all the nations praise you. Then the
earth will yield its harvests, and God, our God, will richly bless us. Yes, God will bless us, and people all over
the world will fear him.
This has really encouraged
me. How awesome it can be when we get
into the power of agreement with God - and His people! Then He can and will move on our behalf.
