While spending time with the Lord, I was taken into a vision. I could see an eye looking down from the heavens. Below were dark skies, an ocean of raging seas. In the middle of this storm, I saw a mountain peak start to emerge out of the water. As the mountain grew larger and larger the sky around the peak started to change to a beautiful vibrant orange and yellow with white fluffy clouds all around. The base of the mountain still had a storm. I was looking at how peaceful the top of the mountain was, and I saw Jesus walking down the mountain. When he got to the bottom the water where he was standing instantly turned to glass and he walked towards me. We looked up and the eye was still in heaven as I started to wake, I heard Athos, Athos, Athos.

After doing some research, according to tradition, The Virgin Mary with John the Evangelist, on their way to visit Lazarus in Cyprus encountered a storm and rough seas. Their boat was taken off course and they were forced to seek refuge at Mt Athos which is now the port of The Holy Monastery of Iviron. The Holy Mountain. The Virgin Mary admiring the beauty of the place asked God to give her the mountain as a gift. Then the voice of The Lord was heard saying, “Let this place be your lot, your garden and paradise as well as a salvation, a shelter for those who seek salvation.” And now some call it The garden of Virgin Mary, The Holy Mountain.

I feel the Lord saying to us today, “My children have been in the rough seas way too long.”

We have been battered by the waves and many of us feel as though we are off course. But we are not! His eye is upon us. The eye of the storm is calming and peaceful. That is where he is taking us. He is guiding us to safe passage. He is inviting us to take refuge in Him. Jesus is coming down to make safe passage for those who seek him.

He is our Athos! The Holy Mountain, His City is built upon it, He wants us to take refuge in His Port, our garden, our place of safety and salvation. What looks like a mountain in front of us is actually our port of refuge. Take shelter in His Port!

Psalm 87:1 He has founded His city on the Holy Mountain.

Psalm 91

Isaiah 4:6 It will be a shelter and a shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge and a hiding place from the storm and rain.
