Sometimes I get real intense in prayer and other times I back off. Sometimes it was so pressing and there were resistant forces and even some emotional wounds that I've backed off longer than I should have.
And then the Lord calls me back, but I resist sometimes because I remember the pain in my emotions. It's not always bad like that, but sometimes it is. Once I get back, I am always glad that I did, because there are many rewards and sometimes, I will get to see some of the fruit of my labors and that brings a great joy.
When I resist, the Lord will also remind me that a lot of the efforts He has done also don't get appreciated! There are some prayers like the Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6) that I pray often. And sometimes I pray it in plural (Our Father) and sometimes I pray it in singular personal (My Father), depending on my needs!
And I often work to put the words in my language to match my heart need. I don't re-word it, but I "translate" it to my heart's understanding. And in that process, He often speaks to me! Sometimes with correction but often with words that help me! After I am okay, then I can pray for others more effectively!
We have to do personal before we can do plural, but we need to be able to do both, especially in this day and time! We don't want to let things become rote because they can become ineffective. Jesus said in so many words, you can go through the motions but not touch God. Today, we need to touch God! But we also need the stabilization of the Word in our lives. He holds us, not the other way around.
Then, as I was praying and thinking about all this, the Lord said the words "Sibling Rivalry." I laughed and said there is plenty of that! But I realized He was serious, and He was bringing this up as something to pray about. If you are on social media at all, you know there are a lot of competitive ministries. Some even attack each other.
And I have learned over the years after receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit that some go into wars over that. It's NOT a COMPETITION!!! It's a blessing, a help, and even a strength for us, but some are provoked, even to jealousy over it.
And we who have received it, and that mostly because we pursued it, have seen that has caused wars when it was not presented as the intercessory that it really is, but rather worn as "a status symbol"!
Working on Right Doctrine
So, you can move your mouth in tongues and run other people off! We don't want to do that. What we need to do is work on right doctrine and that is not overnight, but there are other gifts too that also carry great power. We need to learn how all this all works! Oh, you know the devil has been against us from the Beginning, but WE OVERCOME that through connecting with God.
So, who is wrong and who is right? Well, it's the ones who hold their ground in righteous Spirit! And if the enemy can find a toe hold, he will also try to work it. We just need to let him know which foot wins!
We need to remember we are to discern by the fruit, as Jesus taught us, and not be too quick to judge because there may be something He is trying to teach us! Because just maybe we don't know it all yet! We can just THINK that we know a lot, but none of us are complete without the other Body parts. Jesus knows what He is looking for!
Offenses are a problem. But we need to learn how to work them. When we understand how the enemy wants to use them, we can manage that one way. When we discern how people want to use them, we will manage it another way. Most don't want to learn warfare or advanced warfare because they think they will lose.
And some smell that fear and will capitalize on that and work to intimidate. But if there is any love for God at all within you, and you know it in your quiet place, then God sees you as a winner in Him! And if you are an intercessor, you will learn what things to bless in your prayers. And when you learn these things, your own personal navigation in the Lord will get better and stronger.
We hear a lot of talk about the Jezebel spirit, but we need to know more about God's Spirit to overcome that. It's not just in the mind or in the flesh (natural life, where everyone is in it for preserving themselves), but WE want to advance as well as see others advance too, because the stronger the group of us, the more WE overcome!
The end times will have a standoff with the anti-Christ, but THE CHRIST will overcome, and we want to be with Him in that! The last enemy is death, Jesus said, and we need to understand that. You think you lost a loved one? God doesn't see that, He has them waiting for you to join them!
The ones who don't make it are enemies of the Cross of Grace. The last days can get better and better and better if we learn things right, and that will require helping others. Jesus said it was good that He left so that He could send the Holy Spirit, and that was so that every person on earth at any time could access Him and reach Heaven together in prayers. We WIN this thing if we are IN HIM.
