How are We Building? by Pam Clark

By Pam Clark
When you are building a house, you don't build the roof before you build a foundation, and THEN you build the pillars for the roof. Then you build out the rooms. Many church "rooms" are very bare and sterile, which can be fine for some things, but they are not LIVED IN. We do need those different kinds of places for different functions, but we also need life things for living life. We need rooms to worship, seek and pray, (and where are the altars today?) and we need rooms for learning and teaching, we need places for activities and group events, and even God will say to clean things out for His Visitation.

Your home matters and many people HAVE different challenges, but there is usually a living room for social interaction, kitchen for storing and cooking, bathroom for cleansing and bedroom for rest and replenishing. And many have other rooms, like offices, game rooms and hosting, garages and rooms for creativity or workshops, or for many other things. Not just one is ideal, but they are there for the things NEEDED for that home!

I am saying all that to say that it should be practical and reasonable, and God approved! When people start judging, not knowing all the facts or needs, they can miss it if they are not responsible or in charge. It should be okay for God to enter any of those rooms, at any time! If He is honored here, then we will be honored in His Home!

IF He is leading your life, then your church matters! Churches often have themes, too. Some are evangelical (that focus on souls getting saved, witnessing), or Bible Word (teaching), "power" churches for seeing lives changed, healing themes, prophetic for establishing better things for progress, apostolic for working better things together, and many work to have a little bit of all that.

But when God is unhappy, He will back off from the church and leave some leaders to their own devices. This doesn't come usually without prior notice, especially if a prophetic spirit is around. He wants to BUILD the Church, not tear it down, unless He has to.

Others may be abused. Others may lose heart and lose hope. Some may never know He left and sometimes God is moving the person on to learn and know MORE. And sometimes He is working on your spirit because He knows and has greater things in store for you! It's not just head knowledge, it is a LIFE knowledge! How are we doing?

Seeking, Learning and Relationship

This is WHY we need to know our own heart and souls. Sometimes people have been spiritually abused and some just need to learn more or both! But you need to discern that, through seeking and learning Him and having RELATIONSHIP.

Some feel they are constant babies when MAYBE God wants you to develop YOUR gifts for use! And some churches won't let you mature because you would be a challenge to them. You have to figure out what's best and that is not always easy.

Try not to take it too personal but when you find a group that rejects a lot of other groups, there are probably some if not many problems going on. And God will deal with it, but in His Way. Some is ego and some really is ignorance of Love.

Many accept one gift but not another kind. So, they surely won't see them working together until there is a crisis. And MANY do not even understand all the gifts in the Bible or their definitions. Notice if they are against more things than they are for. God is for LIFE!

I have seen ministers thanking God for the Red Cross because the church wasn't there for them. Some of these GOD GIVEN gifts are functioning in the world but not the Church!!!

Most churches ignore the news because it is too much for them, but it IS the society THEY live in! Are all who are in office really called? Most probably are and in hard times you can see who puts Him first.

We need emergency responders and hospitals, and church people are part of that life too! Do they really have your support? What about the media or other things? Got any prayer power? I think we need some!

Are we going to go forward or fall behind? When God is ready to go forward, it's possible you could be left behind! I hope that is not the common case. As end times approach, we need the UNITY of the faith! We need the understandings that GOD has for us.
