Patience is a Friend by Pam Clark

By Pam Clark
God calls weak and tender people to do His work. Many will try to play that down, challenge them, and even expect them to be like God in all His power, even invincible. They will even provoke them. But He says that His Strength is made perfect in weakness. And the faith that is required to believe will be exalted. It's part of the maturing process. Attacks will happen. And they will be exposed for what they are because Light in its strength will shine on the darkness and expose it for what it is!

It's good not to be too quick to judge because God will reveal all things eventually, especially at the Body unites more and more.

And we will miss the way of escape if we don't learn how to ask and then wait for the answers.   We miss a lot because we don't call on God or sincerely ask Him to help.  We also need to know that we are a work in progress!

James 1 says, 3 Know... that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

I used to call "Wait" a Woeful Agony In Time, as an acronym.  But you know, I said that because I didn't see the Prize!  And you only see the Prize by asking and seeking and helping others.

When you try to help others, you learn a lot about patience and how God sees you!  You (1) Find out that God is bigger than you thought He was, and (2) He has great patience with you.  It's not unlimited, but it is much greater than we are.  Most parents and caregivers know this.

The weak can be strong because God is in on the deal. We learn how to overcome.  Patience plays a part in that.   When we learn and find His goals, we begin to learn that we CAN overcome and that He will impart strategy.

There is no greater joy than sensing the acceptance of God, and we learn that it can be costly to miss Him.  But that is why people make a big deal out of grace, because He also has that for us - a forgiveness that accepts His Love.  Again, we just have to learn it because there is a true love and a fake love.

Patience is a friend, to you, and to others.  Even patience for ourselves can produce much fruit and benefit.  When we are weak, He is strong, and that faith can take us over the finish line. We can overcome.   Patience has friends and it's good to learn who they are.

In our persecutions, be it the devil or who we thought were friends, we find that talking to God with patience will reveal keys we had not seen before or forgot about.  Sometimes roadblocks can take us on a better path!

God is not double-minded.  I have had a number of words from others that did not come to pass but they helped me (eventually) see a better way.  They helped me learn to discern.  Many are like babies, wanting it all now, but mature people are often valued as helpful friends.  Learn the friend of patience!
