"Now
it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples:
and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they
launched forth." (Luke 8:22)
Father has been showing me some
awesome things recently. He has been speaking to me concerning the time when
Jesus commanded the storm they encountered while going to the other side of the
lake. I believe it is a picture of where we are in the church and the world
today. Now then, I am not prophesying storms... I am saying that there is a lot
of talk about storms and uncertainty! Political storms and uncertainty...
economic storms and uncertainty... moral storms and uncertainty... spiritual
storms and uncertainty... the world is full of storms and uncertainty... and always
HAS been!
Firstly, may I prophesy to you
that we are NOT in a day of uncertainty!?... The Scripture says, "Now it
came to pass on a CERTAIN day..." I believe that this CERTAIN Day we are
reading of is a spiritual picture of where the Church is NOW, and that there is
a spiritual principle we can glean from. You see, our ultimate destiny is not
determined by our natural circumstances! In fact, many times our ultimate
destiny appears to be at odds with our natural circumstances. Why is this? Because Father calls us to something much
higher than our natural capabilities and circumstances. I prophesy to you that
we are NOT in a day of uncertainty! We are in a CERTAIN Day! Are these troubled times? Certainly!
However this is a CERTAIN Day we are living in and it is filled with
certain destiny to be fulfilled!
Fear is not a Motivator
Those who are wise always come
out on top during storms and uncertainty... because they refuse to let FEAR be
their motivator. Father's emphasis is never on the storms of life, because they
are just a fact of life. The real point is this - What will we DO in the midst
of storms and uncertainty, or even in the midst of perceived storms and
uncertainty?
Father is currently releasing a
powerful Word that we, the church, are definitely going to the other side of
the lake, spiritually speaking, from a "place of parables" to a
"place of demonstration." This is a CERTAIN Day because He is IN the
ship with His disciples!
We must know for sure that Christ
is resting in our ship... that He has found a people in which He can lay His
Headship, His Sovereignty... a people in which He can Rest His authority as we
REST in Him! We need to be speaking to storms, not merely preparing or hiding
or running. I don't know about you, but I believe it is time to go to the other
side of the lake, to the "place of demonstration."
Traverse Beyond
Jesus said, "Let us go over
unto the other side of the lake..." The wording, 'Let us go over' is
dierchomai in Greek and it means to TRAVERSE. It is from the Greek word dia,
which is a primary preposition denoting the 'channel of an act', and the word
erchomai, which meanings include- to accompany, appear, bring, come, enter. As
I looked through the frequent usage of this word erchomai in the New Testament,
it seemed to be used mostly in the context of "persons" coming,
appearing, entering; it is used much less frequently in the context of
"things" coming. When we put all this together - Let us TRAVERSE as a
channel of the act of the PERSON of Christ appearing and entering!
The word translated as 'unto' is
eis in Greek, and is a primary preposition meaning INTO (indicating the point
reached or entered), of place, time, or purpose. The wording, 'the other side'
is peran in Greek, meaning to 'pierce' through, that is, across, BEYOND,
farther. Once again, put all this together - Let us TRAVERSE as a channel
through which Christ can pierce through into the BEYOND!
I believe that today Christ is
saying to us, "Let us go over unto the other side of the lake..."
Before they got in the ship, the
chapter is filled with parables. The "place of parables" is a good
place to be, for here we gain an understanding of Kingdom principles and
operation. So much can be gleaned from the "place of parables" that
often we are tempted to make it our destination... and we don't move forward.
Many in the church today are comfortable in the "place of parables."
Friend, join me and "Let us
go over unto the other side of the lake," from the "place of
parables" to the "place of demonstration!" It is time to speak
to storms and set captives free who are bound with the "Legion of
Religion!" Let us not operate in fear and uncertainty! Let us understand
that we are living in a CERTAIN Day with a certain destiny to be fulfilled!
Keep moving forward!
To be continued.
