JERUSALEM (ANS) -- As over a billion people turn their eyes towards the Church of the Nativity this time of year, the holy site in Bethlehem is ready to go online via live streaming video in time for the holidays
According to a news release from IPrayTV, for the first time ever, individuals unable to make the journey in person now have Internet access to this unique site.
Streaming will begin on Christmas Eve from 4 am to 2 pm CST thru Christmas Day evening, and will be replayed through the following 48 hours to allow access for viewers in all time zones. The two feeds, one from Nativity Square and one from within the Church, will be delivered by IPrayTV.
According to the news release, IPrayTV is the first provider of Internet broadcast services to faith-based organizations linking ministries to the Holy sites through simulcast. The service has included streaming video 24/7 from key Christian holy sites in Jerusalem including Calvary, Mount of Olives, the Eastern Gate, the City of David, and the city of Jerusalem since its launch in October 2008.
The company's news release said it has developed technology that will allow viewers to see these sites simultaneously on their screens to bring Israel live to every living room across the globe.
"Since the site was launched two months ago, we've seen a strong desire among believers around the world to strengthen their connection with Israel and the Holy Sites," said Mike Peros, Founder and CEO of IprayTV, speaking in the news release.
He added, "All year the service can be a valuable tool to believer's world-wide. All the more so on Christmas, we are honored to help people build their connection to the true reason for the season from the Church of the Nativity."
IPrayTV is dedicated to linking ministries to Jerusalem and the Holy sites through its simulcast technology.
The news release said that for believers, who until recently could only witness these sites through pilgrimage in person, the ability to see and hear events at these sites in real time represents a new way to strengthen their knowledge and their faith.
I Pray TV is the only provider of Internet broadcast services to faith-based organizations linking ministries to Jerusalem and the Holy sites through simulcast.
