New Years Revelations

As you read the title of this message you may have thought that I incorrectly spelled resolutions. Actually the title was intentionally meant to say New Years Revelations rather than New Years resolutions. We are entering a new and exciting year where the Lord is going to release revelations to those in the body of Christ who are in position to receive them. He has been showing me awesome things to come in the kingdom of God this year. Although there will be much turmoil in the kingdom of darkness, if you can learn to press in to the plans and purposes of God, you will be able to perceive what is going on in the natural and therefore overcome the wiles of the enemy in your personal life. The Holy Spirit is seeking people that He can trust with His anointing.

2 Chronicles.16: 9
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect.

Revelation doesn't come to mediocre Christians that go to church for entertainment but doesn't pursue the plans of God in their private lives. Revelation comes to those who are diligently seeking the heart and mind of Christ. There is a process of learning His direction and leading. A few nights ago I had a dream that I was travelling on what seemed to be like a sled. I started to accelerate faster and faster until I entered into another realm. Now in the natural that might sound silly and foolish and I cant even explain it myself but when I woke up I was thrilled because I knew what it meant. That is also a word for many of you. Many of you are in a time of acceleration and it is your choice how you receive what Jesus is offering. There is a process that we must go through to learn the leading of the Holy Spirit. We have to train ourselves to see, hear and perceive the things of God and to learn the Holy Spirits ways but this is also a time of acceleration. The battles have been fierce against many of us in the body of Christ this past year. There have been assignments from the enemy on our lives that are meant to destroy us and distract us from our purpose and destiny in God. We need to recognize these schemes so that we can deal with them accordingly. The key is to stay steadfast and immovable as a warrior willing to count the cost, stay focused and stand strong no matter what comes your way.

1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

The Lord has been showing me that 2009 will also be a year of Gods favor and birthing Gods promises. The enemy sees your potential and whether you realize it or not you are a threat to him. He recognizes the call on your life and your God-ordained destiny better than you do. If you embrace what the Lord is calling to you do, you will be a great asset to the kingdom of Light. This is a special time in history in which we must align ourselves with what He has called us to do whether it is to be a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord, an usher, a teacher, intercessor or a prophet to the nations.

Colossians 3: 23 - 24
And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

Let's make it our prayer that we are going to seek the will of Jesus for our lives for this year. He will not disappoint you. This is my prayer for you for 2009:

Psalm 20: 4
May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.

The Lord is looking for people who are desperate for Him. Some of you are like Elisha, who slaughtered his yoke of oxen, burned his plowing equipment, and cooked the meat to feed the people, then set out to follow Elijah. The Lord says, "I will honor your sacrifice." Others are like Jacob, who wrestled with the angel saying, "I won't let you go until you bless me." The Lord says: Your perseverance will be rewarded. And some are like Zacchaeus, who climbed a sycamore tree just to see Jesus walk by. The Lord says, "I will come to your house today to visit you."

Jesus is raising up strong leaders, who are firmly established in their personal relationship with Him. Those who are humble, have integrity and unwavering obedience. These are the ones who will transform and shake the nations with the glory of God. The Holy Spirit gave me this word today for those of you who have known The Lord for some time but have become complacent in your relationship with Jesus. If you reflect on the past 2-5 years, you will notice a lack of growth in your spiritual life. Your relationship with the Lord may feel stagnant and unfruitful because you lost your original vision and purpose.

Yesterday I received an awesome prophetic word while watching a live stream video on Facebook from a prophet named Dontrell, who is a credible and anointed prophet of God. My friend Gerri sent me the link to the video which was already three hours in. He and another prophet, named James, were ministering the whole time, teaching and prophesying to the viewers. At around the three-and-a-half-hour mark, he called my name and prophesied to me.
