On the day of the elections I was awakened by the audible voice of the Lord in my bedroom. It was roughly about 4:30am and out of a dead sleep I heard the Lord call my name, "Jacob" and when I heard Him I immediately sat up to attention. As I sat up I heard the Lord say, "Watch what I am getting ready to do in this nation". As these words burned like fire in my spirit I immediately was aware of them reverberating throughout my spirit and it literally felt as if they were ringing through my bones. My spirit, soul and body were at complete attention. And as I began to meditate, my spirit was flooded with different aspects and visions about America.

Cast Your Net on the Other Side

Typically most believers are familiar with this passage of scripture in Luke chapter 5 of Jesus reaching out to the unaware Peter about launching back out into the deep and putting out his nets and the result was a miraculous catch. But in John 21:6 after the resurrection we see Jesus on the shore calling out to the disciples who had been out fishing throughout the night without a catch and He said this time to let their nets down the other side and the result was a miraculous catch once again. This symbolized the great hope that what Jesus starts, He finishes. I believe this second instance was more of a, "Hey I haven't forgotten you, nor have I forgotten the prophetic promises I have spoken over you, nor have I forgotten the Glory that I have given to you for such a time as this". Peter immediately senses what is happening and instantly jumps out of the boat to approach Jesus and receive from Him.

As my spirit was on fire with the Word of the Lord about our nation my spirit saw the first two great awakenings that helped form the spiritual backbone and foundation of our nation. I then was shifted to what happened in Wales and eventually made its way to Azusa Street and quickly spread throughout our nation. The men that have stood and shouted from the rooftops, the forerunners that have blazed a trail and the voices that loosed the sound of revival.

As a nation and as a body we have been called though awakenings represented by the launching out into the deep and the miraculous catches of fish. I also have seen the leaders spiritual and physical in a quandary of what I call "hope deferred" out in the water searching for when and where the next awakening or miraculous catch will come from and when it will start. The revelation here is not that Jesus released the disciples into a new level by a confirmation of that first miraculous catch, He did that after His resurrection to get their attention. The revelation was with Jesus on the shore and the coming new wineskin that would be revealed with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. 

What I saw coming was that Jesus was going to release a sign and wonder that would look similar to the awakenings of our past and outpouring at the beginning of 1900 and lasted until the 50's and early 60's. This initial outbreak would literally be to draw us close to him rather than trying to relive the past or re-invent it again. The point is to draw us close to him for new blueprint that He will release. Same principles but different methods and different wineskins. A greater harvest will require different harvesting and retention methods to insure that the harvest doesn't spoil or go bad.

The Upper Room Mentality of Preparation and Stewarding

Recently after the election we began to see numerous petitions for secession from the union and reports of massive job layoffs due to fear of increased taxes due to the looming nationwide healthcare reform policies that our government wants to implement.

As I saw this my spirit was grieved and I heard the voice of the Spirit say, "Through their unwillingness to prepare to steward and partnership with fear there is a danger of aborting the move of the Spirit." As I began to see this map of America that looked so divided I began to see America and the Bride of Christ throughout our nation divided about where they stand and what they believe to be true regarding our nation.

In the upper room in the days and weeks after the resurrection we see a marvelous statement in the Book of Acts chapter one and verse fourteen, "They agreed they were in this for good, completely together in prayer, the women included. Also Jesus' mother, Mary, and his brothers." (MSG) They knew what they were supposed to do at this point and this was to wait and as they waited they were dreaming, strategizing, planning and preparing their hearts to steward the Glory of the Lord and wisdom of the Spirit in order to position themselves to partner with the "Greater works" that Jesus prophesied over them. They were literally preparing themselves to let go of everything that they had been part of to prepare to steward something that revolutionizes the world. There were moving past miraculous catches and preparing the disciple nations and leaders of nations. WOW, I bet they had some marvelous discussions.

It's time for America & the Body of Christ all over this great nation to come away with the Lord and enter to His upper room of revelation and rest and prepare ourselves to steward His glory in order to disciple this nation and the new emerging world around us. A new era of time is upon us and a new culture is emerging. New voices are being heard and this is what the Lord says about their voices and administration, "Hope will not be the logo of their administration. Hope will be fruit of their administration."
