We were blessed with an opportunity to go to our friend Iselins cabin in Dagali in Norway. We felt God was calling us to go. The weather showed to be rain the entire time we were there and then we also learned that there were no indoor facilities, shower or toilet there either. no running water for the kitchen. Things that might make you change your mind. BUT we knew God was calling us to go...so we did. On the drive there I heard the Lord tell me He wanted to give me instructions and I began to see a vision coming of a book in the bible. It started with an A. I thought of Acts and knew that wasn't where He was leading me and I then saw Amos. I felt Amos 7 at first, but I questioned it and waited for the Lord to confirm this, then I looked up and saw just a number 7 on a street sign that we drove past, so I opened to Amos 7.

Vision of the Locusts

Amos 7:1-3 NKJV Thus the Lord God showed me: Behold, He formed locust swarms at the beginning of the late crop; indeed it was the late crop after the king's mowings.  And so it was, when they had finished eating the grass of the land, that I said, "O Lord God, forgive, I pray! Oh, that Jacob may stand, For he is small!"  So the Lord relented concerning this. "It shall not be," said the Lord.

*This I found interesting because we were driving through farm areas, some still had late crops and some were only the grass mowings left in sight. God had my attention.

Vison of the Fire

Amos 7:4-6 Thus the Lord God showed me: Behold, the Lord God called for conflict by fire, and it consumed the great deep and devoured the territory. Then I said, "O Lord God, cease, I pray! Oh, that Jacob may stand, For he is small!"  So the Lord relented concerning this. "This also shall not be," said the Lord God.

Vision of the Plumb Line

Amos 7:7-9 Thus He showed me: Behold, the Lord stood on a wall made with a plumb line, with a plumb line in His hand.  And the Lord said to me, "Amos, what do you see?"

And I said, "A plumb line."

Then the Lord said:

"Behold, I am setting a plumb line In the midst of My people Israel; I will not pass by them anymore.  The high places of Isaac shall be desolate, And the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste.  I will rise with the sword against the house of Jeroboam."

Amaziah's Complaint

Amos 7:10-17 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, "Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land is not able to bear all his words.  For thus Amos has said, 'Jeroboam shall die by the sword, And Israel shall surely be led away captive From their own land.'"  Then Amaziah said to Amos, "Go, you seer! Flee to the land of Judah. There eat bread, and there prophesy.  But never again prophesy at Bethel, for it is the king's sanctuary, And it is the royal residence."

Then Amos answered, and said to Amaziah, "I was no prophet, nor was I a son of a prophet, But I was a sheep breeder And a tender of sycamore fruit.  Then the Lord took me as I followed the flock, And the Lord said to me, 'Go, prophesy to My people Israel.'  Now therefore, hear the word of the Lord: You say, 'Do not prophesy against Israel, and do not spout against the house of Isaac.'"

Therefore thus says the Lord, "Your wife shall be a harlot in the city; Your sons and daughters shall fall by the sword; Your land shall be divided by survey line; You shall die in a defiled land; And Israel shall surely be led away captive from his own land."

Amos considered himself as "just" a sheep breeder. But he was willing to walk in obedience to God no matter what was said to him. God said to Amos, "Go prophesy to my people"

I too have not considered myself to be anything or anyone who could do anything, but I have determined that I want all that God has for me and I will not turn back.  I feel led to a walk of total obedience to Him, no matter what others think or say.

Just before leaving the U.S. and returning to Norway for a new season, the Lord spoke to me through prophet Howard Richardson at Gates of Glory in Dallas and said to me "I see a spirit of prophecy upon your life, Prophesy daughter. For it is in you to speak to the house of God, and to the people of God. For it will edify, it will edify unto perfection my church what it is that I have given thee."

I felt this was the instruction that God was speaking of in the car that day in Amos 7.

Like the disciples who were called from their fishing boats, and Elisha who was called from plowing the fields, Amos was called from breeding sheep to follow the Lord in ministry. Amos left his home and his vocation in order to obey God's call to prophetic ministry. It takes a dynamic devotion to God to be willing to follow the Lord regardless of the cost. Let God so captivate your heart that you would be willing to follow wherever He calls you. Be willing to receive and follow regardless of your "qualifications."  Training is vital to help you grow in your call and gifts, but it is not a prerequisite to being called. Like Amos we must respond to the Lords call in faithfulness.

The following day, Tage and I decide to take a trip to a place called Hivjufossen. Tage and I saw a picture of the waterfall on the tourist info sign on the road and felt excited to drive to it, however we didn't really consider the journey to it, only that we would drive to see this waterfall.

On the way there the Lord spoke to me and said, "What you overcome I will take from you."  I shared this with Tage just before we arrived and got out of the car to see what the sign said about where to go. The sign then told us of the path and how many meters we had to climb! Ok, I have never climbed mountains...I'm from Texas...we don't really have any mountains, so when I have been near them I have been overcome with fear of heights to a degree that my legs even get weak and tingly in high places.

My first trip to Norway Tage took me to Gaustatoppen, which is one of the higher mountains and we climbed it. There were points that I was terrified, but Tage pushed me to overcome and make my way to the very top. I managed but I couldn't stand when I got up there. I had to sit and in the middle so that I couldn't see over any edges.

This mountain at Hivjufossen was different. It was a different terrain but we had to walk on such a narrow path next to high, very steep edges and even through small waterfall streams that had steep drop offs and at some points I had to crawl. I crawled, cried, panicked, felt dizzy, etc., ALL in the pouring rain and wind, but I DIDN'T quit. Somehow I felt that my climb in the natural represented my climb in the spirit and I didn't want to quit! There were moments that I felt I couldn't go on. I was tired, wet, and afraid and I thought I just want to turn and go back down, but I couldn't. Tage said, "Quit looking down, just keep your eye on the path and walk, you will be fine." Then the Lord showed him the scripture that says wide is the path that leads to destruction but narrow is the path that leads to life and there are few who find it. Tage spoke that over me and I suddenly realized what God meant that He spoke just before we got there. What I overcome, He would take. I was overcoming my mountain! Fear, terror, panic, distrust and other things that challenged me.  I made it to the top and it was a glorious victory to see how beautiful and amazing everything was. I felt He was changing my perspective giving me a view from "above and not beneath."

On the way down, I practically skipped and was even able to enjoy the waterfall streams I had been so terrified to cross earlier. God had taken the fear from me.

The next morning I looked at the clock when I awoke. It said 7:14. I felt something when i saw it but didn't really think anymore about it. Considering I was making adjustments to waking up to "outdoor facilities". later in the morning God reminded me of the time and I felt He wanted me to read Matthew 7:14.

The Narrow Way

Matthew 7:13-14 Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.  Because [a] narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

God had lovingly given me confirmation of the journey He took us on the day before.

Throughout the time we were there to that point we laughed at how I had overcome the out house, and even the way we had to help each other bathe...outside in the cold, by dumping heated water over one another after the rainy climb up the mountain, the way we did dishes, all of the things that people take for granted. We talked about how much we LOVE Gods creation and all that He provides for us.

A little later on the same evening, Tage lay on one couch napping and I on the other and as I was falling asleep, I suddenly felt myself moving quickly in the spirit. I felt it in my belly that I was moving so fast! I came up on a blue door with a sudden stop and saw the number 127 on it. That was all that I saw - the door and the number. It took me by such surprise that I sat up fully awake.

I felt the Lord speak to me to read 2 Peter 1:2-7

2 Peter 1:2-7 (NKJV) Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Fruitful Growth in the Faith

5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

What a confirmation! I had just said to the Lord in prayer earlier that "Lord we would have nothing without you...no love, no joy, no peace, etc." I thought of all of the things that were contrary to who He is and I was just overwhelmed with thankfulness for all that we have in and through Jesus. I suddenly felt VERY rich and wealthy because of who we are in Christ. This is truly becoming a partaker of the divine nature and escaping the corruption that is in the world through lust.

After we returned home, I had a dream. I knew in my dream that I was in the presence of the Lord, climbing a mountain, or actually walking up with ease.  When we got to the top it became very flat and leveled off and I felt the Lord say, "Things are going to level off now and you will have a clear view. I felt I could see all the way around me."

The next night I felt the Lord said, "We are going to walk in a new rhythm!"

Just before we left the cabin, Tage went to turn off the electricity from the box located behind the cabin. Next I hear, "Dana, you have to come see this!"  I went and he told me to look at the meter which read "777."  This may seem strange to some but every time God calls us to a place we get this 777. It is either on the counter in the car, on dozens of license plates to where we are going, signs, etc. We don't see 111, 222 or any other numbers, only 777.

God is a God of "signs, miracles and wonders" and His word tells us in Colossians 1:15-17,

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

God is Everywhere

If we only look we can see Him everywhere speaking through everything! We must keep our eye on our path trusting in who He says we are and living from who He says we are in Him

The last few weeks I have felt in my spirit over and over..."what looks like the end, is only the beginning."  We have felt the presence of angels that gather in our midst and it seems that we have literally watched as the last of the tares and roots from old have been pulled from us. As some manifested on the way out we found ourselves responding to them. Some days were tough and we found ourselves having to overcome and choose God and his righteousness over "feelings," or old wounds. But we know these are the giants that are standing before our entry into the promised land and that now through Christ who strengthens us we can see and move beyond them. We can see our beginning from the end of this journey through the wilderness!

The Parable of the Sower Explained - The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares

Matthew 13:24-30 Another parable He put forth to them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. 27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, 'Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?' 28 He said to them, 'An enemy has done this.' The servants said to him, 'Do you want us then to go and gather them up?' 29 But he said, 'No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn."

The Parable of the Tares Explained

Matthew 13:36-43 Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field." 37 He answered and said to them: "He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one.39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. 40 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. 41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

Scriptures the Lord is Giving Now

John 12:24 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.

Matthew 16:24-26 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV) But as it is written:  "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."

Much love and grace.
