A Time to Expect Great Things!I was writing on Facebook today, and the thought came to me that many of you might need to hear what the Lord was putting in my heart to share for 2016.
"Today is a wonderful and awesome day because we choose to believe that heaven is open to us, and promises are released. It doesn't matter what life looks like; it only matters what you believe in your heart. Are your thoughts filled with faith in a loving God, or are your thoughts filled with what ifs? Be encouraged, precious one, that God's love and faithfulness will make a way where there seems to be no way."
It is vital for your future that you walk in expectation in 2016. This New Year is a time for blessings to flow if you choose to believe in the Goodness of God. But if you expect that life will remain the same old, same old way and that nothing will ever change, then you will dread the New Year because of fears of the past and an unknown future.
Faith Resulting in Greater Expectation
The dictionary defines expectation as a strong belief that something will happen which could be good or bad drawing either negative or positive situations to you. The time is now to receive the truth that what you think can affect your future blessings.
The Bible gives us many examples of how faith in God can result in greater expectation to receive His blessings.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Proverbs 23:18 For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.
Proverbs 10:28 The hope of the righteous [shall be] gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
Psalms 62:5 My soul, wait for thou only upon God; for my expectation [is] from him.
