The signs of purpose are all around us. Yet, often we don't see them for ourselves. It's possible that others do, but it takes insightfulness to look beyond the surface. Many do not know how to do that with themselves, much less someone else. Man looks at the outside but God looks at the heart. In order to see what God sees we have to get outside of ourselves to get past our everyday mundane perceptions and put on new eyes. It's like sitting near a body of water and no longer looking at the surface but refocusing into the depths to see below the surface.

The signs of purpose are all around us. Yet, often we don't see them for ourselves. It's possible that others do, but it takes insightfulness to look beyond the surface. Many do not know how to do that with themselves, much less someone else. Man looks at the outside but God looks at the heart.
 
In order to see what God sees we have to get outside of ourselves to get past our everyday mundane perceptions and put on new eyes. It's like sitting near a body of water and no longer looking at the surface but refocusing into the depths to see below the surface.
 
So How Do We Do This?
 
We start with asking questions. The right questions get the ball rolling for the uncommon answer to be accepted and considered. We were all created for greatness but what greatness? We need to get a bit more specific, don't we? When we start asking, "I wonder why I always do this?" or "Why do I feel this way when that happens?" and then listen over time as new insight begins to spring up.
 
It's in looking at our passions, strong natural tendencies, things we'd love to do in life, personality temperaments, dreams and visions among other things. We can also identify our purpose in recognizing the patterns we go through and the process God is taking us through. Certain giftings have certain tests and processes that accompany them that can be used as a flag to identify purpose.
 
Purpose can be both general and specific at the same time. I can do a specific assignment in order to fulfill the objective of an overall broader general purpose. There's a bigger and a smaller picture involved. We start out in the general perfecting it and then become specialized in the area of specific assignment.
 
"The purposes of a person's heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out." Proverbs 20:5
 
There is tremendous value in allowing another to guide you with their insight that opens your eyes to see what is obscure to you become obvious. You need to see you. You are uniquely made with purpose written on your heart by the Hand of God. It's time to discover all you were created to be and walk in it flourishing in your design and purpose as Holy Spirit guides you along the way. It's an adventurous journey of discovery!
