What Matters Most by Pam Clark

By Pam Clark
What matters - in the next few hours, the next few days, the next few weeks or even next few years? Well, isn't it mostly your general well being? So between now and eternity, what matters? Isn't it your connection with God and the knowledge of the Truth? Death to this world can happen in a second. Even dramatic changes can happen. I remember going over to my mother's home and opening the door and seeing that she was gone, she lay dead on the kitchen floor.

The world changed. It was traumatic for months for me. Many changes came (another story). But peace comes for the day or it comes for the long term. Peace, especially for the long term has high value. I had peace about where my mother was, and I had peace for me in other ways. It was challenging, but not everyone has that!

Oh how the devils exist to attack people! For some, it is their very soul's motivation - disturbing the peace! How does the truth set you free? Isn't it by the knowledge of it? Isn't it by being able to believe in it?

Revealing God

I am for the prophecies that reveal GOD. Other things? They are maybe yes, maybe no. If the prophecies even are true (or false) what matters most is my general well being and where my eternity is. Whom do I align with?

You can bounce around in life on the winds or the waves. Bounce, bounce, bounce, all over the place! Some find watching others entertaining. But is that Jesus?

The truth that sets you free is that God loves you, yesterday, today and tomorrow, forever, if you believe. But we need HIM to help us see that. Jesus said Matthew 6:34 - "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

One day at a time! That's enough to worry about! People love to play with prophecies and consider the many possible things their minds can imagine, in greatness or horror. Some get really carried away with it!

But what matters most is your immediate well-being and your eternal one. Get those right and you will get through it all.

It is in that PEACE that God can speak to you. It is there where He can prepare you and accept you! If you hear words that excite you and you are not in your peace, you probably are going to get it wrong.

Yes, things will happen, as they to do all who live on the planet. Some have peaceful days but not peaceful eternities. We want and need both. Those who know their God will be strong and do exploits, the prophet Daniel was told. (Daniel 11:32)

Things happen because we are NOT in control of it all. But if we know God and have our eternities settled, then Romans 16:20says it: "And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen."

Are you for Him or against Him?
