The Purpose of Prophecy by Pam Clark

By Pam Clark
The purpose of prophecy is to reveal and lift up Jesus, not man. Too many want to make it about the focus on people, and long lines will form to receive a word, but they mostly want a word about them and not their purpose in Him. Truth is, you will never be happy or content with a word from another human, because you will judge it against that human. But when you are really seeking Him, you will hear that word however it comes, and know deep within and with conviction that it is Him. He has a way of speaking to our hearts in a way that changes us and gets our attention. It will be supernatural!

And because it is about Jesus and not human individuals, confirmations will come that speak of Him, and you will find the fitting in the true and global Body, not just in a certain group.  A greater purpose will speak, and it will drive you to find that completion to the fullness of it being accomplished where the Lord gets the glory and praise, and you are glad He does.

It's not wrong to ask questions and seek answers. But your best answers and responses will come from a pure heart that seeks purpose. And if that purpose is Jesus, and eternal life, you will get your best answers and responses.

Don't feel bad if you don't always get "a word." A bad or wrong word can be worse! True prophets know when to speak. Their silence can be for His reasons.  God wants to establish you in Truth and holiness and sometimes He wants to put a demand on you to come up to that higher and better and stronger place before He gives you more!

God is never ending.  Learn to enjoy His Life!  It is everlasting.
