When there are clogs in your spiritual drain it causes stagnancy. If the water of God's Presence is not flowing there could be a blockage making our spiritual waters dirty over time. It is important that we are able to recognize clogs and the things that clog quickly, seeing with the eyes of revelation. If we are not accustomed to experiencing the flow of God's Presence in our lives then it will be much harder to recognize when things are not as they should be. If oppression is what you are used to then spiritual clogs may not be obvious.

On the other hand, when a breakthrough does come you will notice that because there will be a fresh flow of God's Presence that you've not previously experienced.
Many times is just subtle compromise over time that causes the heart to grow dull and get spiritual clogs where the Presence of God is not there like it used to be. What thoughts you come into alignment with, lies you may have bought into and wrong associations all play a role in your heart getting plugged up with spiritual dirt.
1 John 2:15-17 "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever."
That is the kind of stuff that clogs our spiritual drain. When we have a flow of communion with God in our lives there is a freshness and flow of the Holy Spirit that is tangible. (2 Cor. 13:14) Living in the reality of His Presence enables us to see the sin and compromise that clogs things up.
Just take a little time to be honest with God and yourself. See if the Lord might show you where there could be some things that need cleansed from you life so that you can experience Him in a much greater way.

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not be put out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning and lay the burnt offering in order on it; and he shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings. A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out. Leviticus 6:12-13 Recently I had a dream encounter where the Lord spoke to me that there is a greater need for more "fire on the altar." In this it was apparent that there was a need for prayer to permeate and infiltrate the atmosphere of the region. I could literally sense that the atmosphere was not what it needed to be - more prayer was needed.

God is blowing a fresh wind right now! His Spirit is being poured out as a new wave of His glory is stirring hunger, drawing people into living encounters with Him. Awake, O north wind, And come, O south! Blow upon my garden, that its spices may flow out. Let my beloved come to his garden. And eat its pleasant fruits. The Beloved Song of Songs 4:16 The Lord is invading and interrupting the flow of the spirit of this world, breaking in as He has plans for these upcoming generations. He has a longing to draw all men to Him. What we are seeing right now, more and more, are people being caught up in the simplicity of worship in the Spirit.
