Venturing into the Unknown by Pam Clark

By Pam Clark
Venturing into the unknown is hard because you never know what you are going to face!  All Christians and just everyday people have to do it to some degree, but prophets especially do. I have had some experiences where I am more reticent on some things than I was before. There are places in my life where I wanted to learn and even be mentored some and ended up meeting the devil. Some of you will understand that. But guess what, God was still there, even if not in the form that I wanted Him in.  And as imagining people (which we all are) and as prophetic people (and if Christ is in you, so is some of that because He is all things that He gives out), we have to be prepared and understand that every soldier goes through boot camp.

Some days you wonder if you are in boot camp or on the battlefield! But we come to realize that all these people who talk about the river or the waters or the storms or the push, are doing just that, moving forward, advancing.  As humans we have to look to God and not be God. I don't know why that is so hard for us, but it is the big test.

But if we ever learn the place where we can be in God's Glory with Him as the Lead, we can have great fun and great joy in the movement of it.  Do you want a little scoop of ice cream or the whole bowl full of whatever you like a lot? I can swim across the swimming pool, but can I swim across the lake?

There Will Be a Voice

We have to learn ourselves and we learn how to manage our desires through discoveries AND hearing God's Word, His Voice, that living or alive word!  Doesn't He say "There will be a Voice behind you saying 'This is the way, walk ye in it'"? (See Isaiah 30:21) We learn that He will prepare us even for many things we don't see yet. Teaching is so important!

That's the key that is the secret that is the plan on learning how to live.  I wanted to learn, I wanted to grow, I wanted to find out, I wanted to enjoy, but I had no safe freedom without His Voice and His Presence. Learning to wait on Him - that "dreaded" patience we must acquire - is really for the good of our well being and expanding life!

Some let fear overtake them and then they find their enjoyments and capacities quite limited.   They will sometimes be jealous of others but their freedom is really still there and available. And if they use their faith, they will find that their capacity is really much greater than that which they first believed! But everyone has to learn how to put God first.

Proverbs 4:7 "Wisdom is the principal [or first] thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding."
