Seeing God's Will by Pam Clark

By Pam Clark
With all the expectations for Christians, especially with anything ministry related and with all the hype there is out there, it is important to learn what GOD expects of you. Some are really good at having a long list of "rules" for you to go by, but they aren't always the Ten Commandments, or the Bible! Many try to do things to lock you into a local system or even a way of giving that may or may not be inspired for you. Now I am not trying to threaten, although I know some will read or feel it that way, but if our conversation with God is there and growing as it SHOULD - because Jesus said His sheep would hear His Voice - then there needs to be some liberty there as well.

Because if you are following a person and/or a system that man created, your growth and effectiveness can become diminished!

Now, if you are really learning the Lord because you are being taught to, and hearing His Voice, then even your mistakes will be working for your good, and your teachers should be examples to you that you want to imitate. Thus we all grow!

Admitting mistakes is part of the Christian process, but if you are feeling condemned in ways that work against you getting it right, (and some of that can come from within you), then your growth in grace and power can become stunted!

You will never be all things to all people but you should be growing in how to share your faith. Some are quiet ministers and some are loud but we all should be effective witnesses with a witness from God that we are on the right path that way. Many of us are both loud and quiet and with all things in between. Learning the wisdom on how to manage that is also a sign of Christian maturity.

Sometimes we have to push ourselves in one way or an another to get the response that God wants from us. He is a very interactive God if we choose to seek that journey, and it's a wonderful journey. I keep saying that God is a Discovery! He is! You will never stop growing and learning Him if you choose that. He daily loads us with benefits!

I can read the Ten Commandments and condemn myself or ask for grace and that helps to do it better and get that prayer answered because I asked in His will! I will go into an increased dimension where I have to learn to appropriate the new things and I will discover how much that transition really helped.

When we ask for wisdom, we learn both what is good and what is not. Learning what is not is not always that fun, but it does prepare us for greater understandings that help us accomplish more in the days to come. He trains us! We don't want to know the wiles of the devil really, but when we discern them, it is nice to get away from them and even helps to deliver others too!

The Right Spirit Attitude

When we get selfish in our understanding, it means we have become self-focused and while we may not see that so quickly, others do and He does, and God will work to help us get back into the right spirit attitude. We really need to learn the test which is, "Do I want to bless others with my knowledge and understanding?"

Now there are seasons where we get apart to gain more awareness and understanding, but if the results of that are not to bless others, we have missed it some way. If we seek to make a storehouse for "only" us, we may THINK we are in God's will, but He will see you separating HIS Body.

Jesus came to give it all, but He did it with wisdom and understanding and much prayer. Many put expectations upon Him, "IF you are the Son of God, perform this!", but His prayer life guided and sustained Him. So will ours. He was able to walk through a mob that wanted to throw Him over the cliff! Nothing shall by any means hurt us if we are walking in Him!

Because God is the Ultimate in power, many want to be "in the loop," or "in the know." They want to know how those miracles work! They want that sometimes more than the good they produce! But if we understand the motives of God and agree with HIS SPIRIT, we will bring forth the good works that change the world for the better.

We will begin to SEE Jesus getting closer and closer and then we will one day be caught up and away to rejoice with Him forever, seeing the results of our life, as even Abraham and Moses and others did, change the people toward His Glory.

If you read your Bible, you will see it reads that sin is falling short of the glory of God. Do you want to go "Home" with a little or a lot in your pockets? What you do in His good follows you forever! Do you have, and can you share, the fruit that remains?

Let disappointments bring you closer to Him, because He has a vested interest in that. You can learn the wisdom that overcomes.
