Having Ears to Hear the Sound of the Trumpet

The Lord frequently speaks to me through dreams and on occasion, He will instruct me to share revelation with the rest of His Body, that He's revealed to me through a specific dream.  Near the end of 2008, the Lord gave me a night dream in such a unique manner, that it left me with no doubt this dream carried a vital message for the Body of Christ within it.

You may be questioning the purpose in the gap of time between the release of the dream to me and my release of the dream to the Church. Specific factors, needed to be aligned into position prior to it's release.  It was extremely necessary for clarity of certain aspects of the dream to surface, and that could come only within the timing of the Lord and through revelation given by the Holy Spirit.

For if the trumpet makes an uncertain sound, who will prepare for battle?  1Cor. 14:8

Also, to be in the proper sequence, several key watchmen were to first release their portions as the forerunners.  In keeping with the Lord's timing and order, the way was prepared for the dream to be delivered and received with witness and understanding.

The Dream

Whenever the Lord speaks something repeatedly, you should regard it as a matter of high importance, therefore it's wisdom to incline your ear and take heed of His instructions.  Dreams are of no exception. When given to us by the Lord, dreams are merely another form of the way He speaks to us.

The dream begins with my family and I moving about in a casual manner, within a building that I perceive as being a school.  There were many other people in this same building with us.  Although it being a school was apparent to me, we did not seem to be there for the purpose of attending classes.  I had the distinct impression that we were all there as in sharing a common dwelling place.

The main location that the dream focused on within the building, was at the bend of an "L-shaped" corridor. The corridor was lined with many doors belonging to different classrooms.  At the bend of the corridor stood a tall, large framed woman.  It's important to note that the impression in my spirit is that she is one with a solid structure. When I awoke from the dream, I recognized this woman as being someone who worked in the office of the high school I attended.  To give you a little insight pertaining to her position at the school, she worked in the office, was most often the voice we heard making the announcements, and was frequently an overseer in the corridors, making sure the order was kept.   In this dream, she stood at the bend of the corridor, as one whose responsibility was to give us advanced warning that the appointed time, of a bear being released was drawing near - that we may be properly prepared.  All of the people were in one stretch of the corridor while the bear was being contained in the connecting stretch of the "L-shaped" corridor.

The woman that stood at the bend of the corridor, gave the sound of the warning that it was time to prepare for the release of the bear.  At this time, it was our responsibility to prepare by equipping ourselves with the necessary supplies, such as common household products.food, dishes, and the like.  We then were to enter into an area that was designated for that time, and within the confines of it's closed door,  we would have all provision needed for a safe refuge.   But! We did not take heed to the woman's warning of the appointed time being at hand.  Instead of obeying the instructions given to us, we simply wandered around in the open corridor, as if hearing none of the warning or instructions.  As said, the bear was released.  Upon realizing the destructive consequences caused by our failure to take heed of the warnings, we were gripped and immobilized by fear of impending doom.  There the dream ended, and then began all over again.

Everything was as it was in the first dream, until just after the warning of the releasing of the bear.  This time, when we heard the warning being heralded, we began to move about as if to gather up the supplies.  Instead of moving along with promptness, and knowing that indeed it was the appointed time, we moved about sluggishly.  We did well by gathering all that was needed to take into the place of refuge with us.  Due to our sluggish efforts, we were unable to enter into the place of safe refuge swift enough to close the door behind us. Therefore the door was left opened, allowing an entry way for the bear also.   The bear came in to the place we were at and moved about among us.  Our only possibility for safety from the bear, was in our standing motionless, so not to provoke him in any way.  The bear passed by each one of us, sniffing at us, and coming so near that we could feel it's fur brushing upon us.  This dream ended with the sense of knowing that any slight movement from any one of us could provoke the bear into launching an attack upon us.

For a third consecutive time, the dream began over again. Once again, the dream proceeded just as the two times previously, until immediately after the warning of the releasing of the bear. Unlike the first two scenarios, in this dream, upon hearing the warning, we swiftly began to gather up all that we knew to be wise to have in our possession. Continuing in the same swiftness and with a solid focus we brought to completion all that was necessary for our provision and safety as we entered into the room of our safe refuge.  We closed and locked the bottom half of the door, while leaving the top half open.  This arrangement of the door kept us safely tucked away from the bear.  The bear passed by outside of the door, able to see that we were within the confines of the refuge, but unable to access us.  The open top half, provided us with a view to see all that was taking place outside of our place of refuge, and yet safely set apart from it.

Interpreting the Dream

There are various aspects of this dream that should be given attention to.  First and foremost, the fact that the Lord gave this dream to me three times, consecutively, should be a trumpet in itself.  We need to take notice that in all three times, the first portion of the dream remains the same.  That tells us that most likely this is an event with an appointed time.  I use the words 'most likely', because I believe that many events can be stopped or delayed by the effective fervent prayer of a righteous man. (James 5:16)   Wisdom tells us, if the Lord shows us something as having an appointed time, then we should prepare for it as being so. Nevertheless, that is not suggesting to throw in the towel on the power of our intercession.    The meaning of 'appointed' within this context is  - fixed beforehand; or, a designated day.

With each consecutive dream, there was a different ending as a result of our actions.  In effect, this speaks to us that although there may be an appointed time coming upon us, the determination of our prosperity & provision or lack of, is in direct connection with our response to the sounding of the alarm.

This dream took place within the setting of a school.  You may find this surprising, but the school represents the Church.  First of all,  there is much diversity within a school.  Not everyone is at the same level of learning or maturity. Also, a school isn't just comprised of students, there are teachers within it that are just as equally at different degrees of instruction. Let's not forget the administrative portion of it also. The school portrays the Church in it's entirety.

The woman clearly is representative of the watchman within the Church. She is an overseer to the Body of Christ, heralding the trumpet to declare what she has been shown approaching, according to the times and seasons.  She has the Issachar anointing upon her, as she stands at the bend or turn of an appointed and decisive time for the Church.  Within the scriptures, the voice of wisdom is often referred to as "she" or "her".   I believe the Lord used a woman in the dream to signal that this overseer and watchman is also the voice of wisdom speaking to the Church.

Bears can be symbolic of many different things, depending upon the message of each individual dream.   When seeking the Lord in regards to this particular dream, He quickened to me the financial system/market, such as a crashing of, or a 'grizzly' time coming to it.

Accountability in Responsibility

In Ezekiel 33, the word tells of when the appointed watchman sees the sword coming upon the land and blows the trumpet to alarm the people.  It explains the situations of the people not taking heed to the sound of the trumpet being blown, as opposed to the watchman not blowing the trumpet to sound the alarm for the people.   The basis of this scripture is actually balancing accountability upon each individual to take responsibility for their own actions.  If the watchman has been given the perception to see the danger ahead, his responsibility is to sound the alarm, regardless of it not being the popular vote among the people.  Likewise, if the watchman has sounded the alarm, it is the responsibility of the people to take heed to the warning.  If either one does not follow through with their portion, the accountability of their consequences is upon their own head.

We are in a time that the watchmen are sounding the trumpet.  Are we listening and taking heed to it, or have we become as the five foolish virgins (Matthew 25) and fallen asleep in what has been the time allotted to us for gathering and preparation?

Joining the Pieces Together

There seems to be an area of confusion stirring in some of the Church, in regards to what appears to be a mixed and contradictory message coming from the prophets and watchmen. Yes, we are hearing some of the prophets and watchmen, prophesying of a time of trial and shaking coming upon the earth, while others are saying there is blessing and the transference of the wealth of the wicked coming into the hands of the righteous.  It's important for us to realize that these are not two different messages contradicting one another.  This misunderstanding only leads to feeling pressured to choose sides between the two, or to discard both.  Rather than choosing between the two, we need to understand that they are both just portions of the same message.  We see in part and we know in part, therefore it is necessary for us to bring both portions together, enabling us to form a more complete understanding of what is yet to come.

Are there trials and shakings coming upon the earth?  Yes, indeed.  The Lord has never told us we would be without those things.  In fact, He has told us just the opposite, that they would indeed come upon the earth.   But in all of that, just as He gave the children of Israel a safe refuge from the angel of death, by placing the blood of the lamb upon their doorposts, He still provides for us that same safe refuge through the blood of the Lamb.  As we listen to the watchmen, and as they, being led by the Holy Spirit, sound the trumpet, declaring His instructions of preparation to us, God will make the way for provision and abundant blessings in the midst of the trials and shakings.  So, yes, there are trials coming, but also in that same hour there are promises, provision, and wealth being released.

Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.  Isaiah 60: 1-2

As in the dream, if we are swift to hear and obey, we may see what is taking place, but there will be no access for the bear to come into the place of our safe refuge.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust." Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence.  He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be our shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.  A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.  Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked.  "Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.  In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.  You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.  He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation."  Psalm 91
