We often talk about the storehouse of God, or God's treasure room, where the most precious things to Abba are stored. Which makes you ask, "What are the most precious possessions that God owns?"  Malachi the prophet lays it out clearly for all to see:

Then those who feared the Lord spoke with each other, and the Lord listened to what they said. In his presence, a scroll of remembrance was written to record the names of those who feared him and always thought about the honor of his name. "They will be my people," says the Lord of Heaven's Armies. "On the day when I act in judgment, they will be my own special treasure. I will spare them as a father spares an obedient child." Mal 3:16-17 (NLT)

The Lord loves to hear His children speaking about Him and His wonderful acts and love. According to Malachi the Lord writes down our names on a scroll because of these conversations about Him, and these are considered amongst his special treasures. One translation says "He rolls up the Scrolls and on the day when the Lord considers his most special possessions these will be among them."

The enemy is always trying to break our unity with one another, because he knows that our conversations about Abba and His love build a wonderful storehouse full of treasures that please Abba so much.

Common Union

In unity we have fellowship, and in fellowship we have communion (common union) and in this common union we create treasure most precious to the Lord. The fact is we will never always agree on how some things should be done. Jews have a saying; "If you have 2 Jews you have three opinions." It's the same for Christians. It's not wrong to have an opinion; we just need to learn how to work our opinion into the greater good of all the other opinions amongst our brothers & sisters. So the key element of our common union is to speak, shout and worship our God for the good things He has done in our lives. In doing this we take our eyes off our opinions and onto HIM, and in doing so we create a special treasure.

The body of Christ spends so much time debating about our opinions on how things should be run, we forget that the most important issue in our common union is God Himself. We become His treasure, but HE is also our treasure,

Let us not get so caught up in our looking for breakthrough or to be on the cutting edge, that we forget that it's all about union. Union with God in Christ and a common union between sons and daughters, this is where the storehouse of God is located; this is where the treasure is; this is where our provision comes from, your provision is HIM - union with God in Christ, and it's your brother and your sister.
