Prophetic Vision: The Lord Says, 'I'm Releasing My People from Bondage' by Caleb Wampler

I hear the Lord saying, "I'm releasing my people from bondage!" As I waited on the Lord, I felt a deep overwhelming love fill my heart for people. I was taken into a vision and saw chains and very large bags being carried over the shoulders by millions of people off into the distance. It appeared that they were doing very hard labor, similar to slave labor as I've often imagined the people of Israel when enslaved to the Egyptians during the time of Moses.

I hear the Lord saying, “I’m releasing my people from bondage!”

As I waited on the Lord, I felt a deep overwhelming love fill my heart for people.

I was taken into a vision and saw chains and very large bags being carried over the shoulders by millions of people off into the distance. It appeared that they were doing very hard labor, similar to slave labor as I’ve often imagined the people of Israel when enslaved to the Egyptians during the time of Moses.

As they carried their heavy burdens under oppression, they began to call out for someone to help them. In an instant, I saw a very large angel come down from heaven and say, “I come from the presence of the Lord in response to your prayers. You are set free from your enemies, and their delaying of your destiny is done.”

At that moment, the enemy, who was walking amongst the people, vanished. In an instant, the people realized they had been set free from their bondage. They began to rejoice, shout and even dance in excitement. They began to walk away from their place of bondage. It should have been a resounding moment of victory, but the most peculiar thing happened.

In the vision, the angel stood there with a puzzled look on his face as the people began to walk away. The people had been set free, and their enemies had literally vanished before them. The word of the Lord had come to pass in response to their prayers. It was a miracle that they would tell their children and grandchildren over decades. However, they missed their moment of freedom for this one very important reason. The people carried their bags of bondage with them as they were leaving.

Move from Your Past

They had been set free from their past, but they took their past with them into the future.

Friends, it is time to move. It is time to move from your past and to leave it there. If you’ve committed the most atrocious sin you can think of, and you continue to think about it, then my friend, you are forfeiting a life of encounter. You may feel the guilt, the hurt, the pain, the regret, and the continual need to make up for and prove yourself for the wrong that was done. Today, I want to help you. Every one of those things I just named are not from God. None of them. Not one. When God does something, He does it completely. Because of the price that Jesus paid on the cross for your sins and mine, the only thing needed is the sincere asking of forgiveness from a merciful God.  “I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for My own sake and will never think of them again” (Isa. 43:25).

After you’ve asked genuinely, then God says, “I’ve forgotten it genuinely.” If you’re continuing to beat yourself up for it, then that is not of God or from God. It’s from another individual…the devil. “Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Pet. 5:8).

Let this simple thought set you free today. This isn’t a get out of jail free card—it doesn’t mean you can walk around doing whatever you feel like. The “genuine” and “sincere” are a part of the equation in the asking, yet this should be a great encouragement to stop beating yourself up for a past that has already been remedied by the blood of Jesus.

I hear the Lord clearly speaking! Your season of bondage is over! It’s time to move. It’s time to move out, move on, move up, move over and move into all that God has for your destiny. It will not happen though if you carry your past into your future. As God sets His people free in this season, we will be reminded as to who God is and who He wants to be in our lives. This season is going to awaken the bride of Christ to the revelation of who she is in Him! As the enemy tries to come at you with your past, remind him of his future!

Jesus knew that the devil was, “…prowling around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Pet. 5:8). He knew what the church was going to need to stand against the gates of hell. He gave us the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was given to empower you to do what God has called you to do in the earth. It’s important to note that He’s not up in heaven right now. He’s here, now, with us! In other words, you are gifted by Him to do improbable things by unifying with Him in spirit and truth.

I feel the Lord wants to address one additional area … for those who say, “you don’t know what I’ve done.” He began to speak to me about this area, and He was very clear about it. He told me something that might shake you a little bit. He said, “It’s not about you. When I see you, I see the blood of Jesus.” Your past is one word, “SIN.” God sees the beautiful sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. When you believe in Jesus, repent from your sin and walk into this freedom. You are set free … completely! “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus” (Rom. 8:1).

I bless all who are reading these words today. The delays are done. The enemy is defeated. Don’t give the devil a victory by bringing a lousy past into the future.

The fulfillment of God’s destiny for your life depends on this. Let’s walk boldly forward in freedom! It’s time to take the promised land. Every giant of delay and distraction is coming down in the name of Jesus!
