Words that Pierce and Penetrate by Elaine Tavolacci

By Elaine Tavolacci
As technology advances, we are blessed to have access to ministries worldwide through video platforms. We could watch replays from years past as well as live stream recordings. Whether it be Sunday morning services, conferences, teaching or prophetic words, we could find them all on a video app. There is a diverse range of styles from traditional to contemporary who are anointed with the Holy Spirit and fire. This afternoon as I scrolled through some videos, I noticed that there was a consistent theme of what pastors and prophets were saying. There was such a hunger and some services were so anointed that I felt the fire of God just by sitting here watching them.

This afternoon as I scrolled through some videos, I noticed that there was a consistent theme of what pastors and prophets were saying. There was such a hunger and some services were so anointed that I felt the fire of God just by sitting here watching them. There were prophets giving prophetic words and words of knowledge. There were people coming to the Lord, and there were people getting healed, delivered and set free. There is a stirring and a shaking.

There were ministers of every style. Some with business suits that were speaking in stadiums, others had long hair or torn jeans, and some had backdrops and stage lighting effects with different colors, textures, and patterns. But nevertheless, the Lord used them all in a mighty way. Their physical appearance makes no difference to Jesus. He doesn’t judge them by their past, but He called from their mother’s womb. Their anointed words pierce even the hardest of hearts.

Isaiah 49:1-2 (TPT) Yahweh called me as his own before I was born and named me while I was still in my mother's womb. He gives me words that pierce and penetrate. He hid me and protected me in the shadow of his hand. He prepared me like a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.

Many of you don’t realize that the Lord has given you the same power and anointing as those ministers that you watch. You may not have the same calling to a fivefold ministry, but every believer is called to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out demons. Every believer could be used in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Every one of our words has power to build up or tear down.

The Lord says, “Your words have creative power to pierce and penetrate. I am calling ministers to preach My Word with boldness and power. You will no longer speak empty words, but your words will impact the lives of others. There are many of you who will demonstrate the power of the Holy Spirit and lives will be transformed. A new zeal will begin to stir in those who’ve become weary. You will begin to walk by faith and not by sight.

I have given you the authority to decree and declare a thing and it shall be established for you. As you speak My word, things will begin to shift. As you use My authority and speak My name, mountains will move. I have given you authority over all sickness and disease. As you lay hands on the sick, they shall recover. Whatsoever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. Whatsoever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

I have given you the power to overcome every obstacle that comes against you and to tear down strongholds using the mighty weapons that I have provided for you. You will not only speak with the wisdom of man, but you will walk in demonstration of My Spirit and power. As you use the authority that I have released to you, in My name you will begin to rule and reign on this earth and My glory will prevail in your life,” says the Lord.

Jeremiah 23:29 “Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?”

1 Corinthians 2:4-5 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

1 Corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.
