"My people are shrinking to fit into a space they are not meant for." This morning, the Lord gave me a dream in which round pegs were dropping into square holes. This is an analogy that we usually use where the round peg would not be able to fit into a square hole. “My people are shrinking to fit into a space they are not meant for.”
This morning, the Lord gave me a dream in which round pegs were dropping into square holes. This is an analogy that we usually use where the round peg would not be able to fit into a square hole. However, as I inquired of the Lord about this picture, He said His people are becoming smaller to fit into an expected space.
John 15:19 reminds us that if we are of the world, the world will love us. The Passion Translation reads, “Just remember, when the unbelieving world hates you, they first hated Me. If you were to give your allegiance to the world, they would love and welcome you as one of their own.” The Lord warns us that many believers have modified their belief systems to fit into the world’s culture. We have entered ungodly negotiations and allegiances to fit the mold. In other words, we have lost the weight we are meant to carry in the spiritual realm. Because we have lost weight, we are fitting into places we are not to occupy.
The rest of the verse states, “But because you won’t align yourself with the values of this world, they will hate you.” When walking with Jesus and following the biblical mandates for our lives, we cannot afford ourselves to be a round peg that shrinks to fit into a square hole. We should, as Christians, be so full of the glory and weightiness of God that we cannot fit the world’s mold. The result of this means the world and its systems will hate us.
As God gave the warning, He also gave an invitation. I hear Him stating, “for many, the winter season has hit in both the natural and spiritual. Lose the mindset that you can only fatten up in the good summer season. I am calling you to fatten up in the winter. As you fatten up in the things of Me, you will back right out of the hole where you have fallen. You will step into the full weight of My glory, power, anointing and the authority you are created to carry. As you step into the fullness of who you are, you will find peace and security beyond what you imagine because you step back into Me.”
You are not created to fit into the world’s mold, brothers and sisters. Heed the word of the Lord. Adjust your focus and course so you are rightly aligned with who He has called you to be. It’s not too late.

The wind is a funny thing. We do not know where it comes from nor where it goes. We cannot see it, but we can see and feel its effects. Wind can be gentle and refreshing, cold or hot, strong, and dangerous, and everything in between. When the wind blows, we must decide our stance. Will we stand and face it, turn against it, or get out of it altogether? It depends on the behavior of the wind. We know that we cannot control it as it will blow where and when it pleases. There is also a spiritual wind of which we should be aware.

When I was pregnant with my children, each one held a space of wonder in my heart. I thought about the exact date they would be born on. I would ponder what their height and weight would be. I wondered at times, by the amount of movement I felt, if they would be future break-dancers or gymnasts! As Christmas approached, I found myself pondering how Mary was feeling. She would walk through so many emotions and experiences.

Some people are great at learning new languages. However, I get tongue-tied and provide a comedy routine rather than an accent as I try to speak in another language. However, there is a language that every believer is created to speak and understand, the language of heaven. For the believer, this is not their second language, but their primary one. It is not a backup, but the primary line of thinking. Everything changes when we understand we are created to partake in the language of heaven.
