We have to understand there is a divine order to living in the promises of God. The apostle Paul prays for the "eyes of your heart to be flooded with light," so we might get a revelation of the things we have already read and heard. Paul prays that God would break us out of our current religious paradigms in the natural realm by flooding our hearts with revelation in the spiritual realm to release the creative move of His Spirit in us.

We need revelation diffused throughout our soul to know and understand with our heart "the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones). And (so that you can know and understand) what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe," so we can be activated with supernatural faith to experience the manifestation of His promises!

Many Christians unconsciously feel that we do not need to learn anything new from the Bible, let alone receive revelation from His Spirit. I recently read a book that said that by the age of eight most Christians believe that they have learned all they need to know from the Bible to live the Christian life. They believe they have read or heard it all before. But it is important to keep a teachable spirit, because the true promises of God cannot be received through our natural understanding. They only come through revelation by the Spirit!

There is Always a Greater Revelation

There is always something more the Lord wants to reveal to us. Jesus once asked the disciple Philip, "Have I been with all of you for so long a time, and do you not recognize and know Me yet?" The disciples had spent over three years with Jesus, day and night, and still did not have a full revelation of Him. In another place, Jesus says, "I have still many things to say to you, but you are not able to bear them or to take them upon you or to grasp them now." Jesus was telling Philip that He had a lot more things to reveal to Him, but that he was not able to perceive them with the current level of understanding in his soul. There is always a greater revelation for us to receive from God!

Today we receive revelation directly from Holy Spirit who resides in us.

He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message (on His own authority); but He will tell whatever He hears (from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him), and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come (that will happen in the future).

Living the abundant life requires sensitivity to the communication of the Holy Spirit. The more we enjoy our relationship with Him, the more our soul becomes sensitive and able to discern between information that comes from our flesh versus revelation that comes from the Spirit of God. He leads us into all the promises of His Word by equipping us to overcome with the knowledge of future events to come.

Experiencing the True Kingdom of God

Jesus told His disciples that many of those who listened to His parables, "having the power of seeing, they do not see; and having the power of hearing, they do not hear, nor do they grasp and understand." The information attained by their natural senses paralyzed them from being able to receive the revelation imparted through their spiritual senses. The information they were seeing with their natural eyes and ears was not enough to live in the promises of God. The natural realm had become a box that limited them from experiencing the true Kingdom of God.

Information we obtain in the natural realm is not enough to experience what we believe about God and His Word. We get in trouble when we try to overcome natural battles with natural resources. On the other hand, we have been equipped to overcome our natural battles with supernatural resources. The manifestation of His promises can only be released by the limitless authority of the spiritual ream that rules over the limits of the natural realm.

Most of the answers to our problems are in a place that is different from what we can see with our natural eyes and hear with our natural ears. Many Christians believe that if we work harder with the information received from our flesh to change things in the natural, then God will bless us. Jesus told His disciples the opposite in regards to the spiritual realm, "Blessed (happy, fortunate and to be envied) are your eyes because they do see, and your ears because they do hear." A life of being blessed, happy, and fortunate enough to be envied sounds a lot like the abundant life.

Jesus said, "(Things are hidden temporarily only as a means to revelation.) For there is nothing hidden except to be revealed, nor is anything (temporarily) kept secret except in order that it may be made known." In other words, there are spiritual realities hidden from us in the natural, but only as a means to activate our spiritual senses by reason of use to obtain revelation. Everything that we cannot see or hear with our natural eyes and ears can be seen and heard with our spiritual eyes and ears. The veil has already been removed!
