I want to share a word that I received one year ago that is more pertinent for today. This morning I was thinking about all the great men and women that the Lord has used in extraordinary ministries. I was wondering why most of those who have been called to be a voice for the Lord, or who have ministries of miracles, signs and wonders have been through so much adversity throughout their lives, but then I heard the Holy Spirit say, they are "The Lazarus generation." These are men and women on the front lines whom I have loosed from a death sentence and have chosen as My end time warriors.
When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the LORD God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the LORD God among the trees. Genesis 3:8 I was recently scrolling on my Facebook and I came across a post that was dangerous. The post read, "Sin separates us from God." The post was written by a fellow believer who has a ministry. This post deeply disturbed me because it is simply untrue. At first glance, an average believer may agree. People were commenting "Amen," "Preach," and similar messages. My heart sank deeply. Statements like these are dangerous because God is not afraid of your sin.
The Lord is closing the books on your previous season of life. Do not focus on the past or how you feel right now. Many people are feeling as though they somehow missed the Lord or messed up. The Lord is saying, "I have chosen you and your generation for a special working of my power. Do not worry about how it looks now or the details of how it will happen. When it is time, it will happen quickly." Because many prophetic words have not come to pass and with the untimely passing of some major prophetic leaders, some people are being tempted to reject or despise the prophetic ministry. We still need to hear the voice of God like never before.
I sense the Lord saying to many of us in transition: "Watch for the exit signs this season along major highways." This could mean a significant change of direction or a minor adjustment in our lives and ministry. Major highways speed up our traveling, but exits take us to our destination. Could it be that the Lord is calling many of us off of the highways to the byways, to take our hands off the steering wheels of our ministry to get our hands on the harvest? Why are so many people hearing a Lion roar at this time? When the Lion of Judah roars, His call is not tame. I believe He is roaring many of His people off the beaten path of ministry to forge their own trail to reach a chaotic world.
Have you ever been like me, thinking, "What is going on?" I love the Lord, go to church and study the Word, but sometimes things just don't seem to click. Jesus promised us an abundant life. He told us to be of good cheer, He had overcome the world. One day as I was meditating on some things in my life, things I didn't understand, I heard a whisper in my heart, "Find the rhythm of life." After meditating on this for months, little by little I began to feel like I was beginning to get a glimpse of that rhythm. I began to see it was not what I was doing that was important in my life, but who I was and, of course, who I was effected what I did.
God has had so much more for you. The apostle Paul told the Ephesians that God desired them to be filled with the Holy Spirit. The fact that we need to stay filled means it is possible for a Christian to run on empty only to scratch the surface of what God offers us. He does not want us to simply splash in the water or wade in the shallow end of His River. He wants to take us to the deepest depths. Ephesians 5:18 says: "Be filled with the Spirit." Some Christians are content to attend church one day a week for an hour and have a quick, 15-minute devotion a few days a week.
Sometimes I look down at my hands, form a fist, and release. I know under the surface there is a complex nervous system coordinating my movement. So many processes are happening to just ball up my hand, and I am amazed I can even ponder it. I breathe in and out. Again. I close my eyes, and I'm full of gratitude. There are these fleeting moments of hyper-awareness, when it seems like every little detail matters. I had one of those moments recently. My Dad and I were screening in the patio at my house. We worked all weekend together. At one point I was holding a board for him to cut. The Sun was shining brightly behind his head, creating a soft glow around the edge of his hair, the cooler November air reminding me of changing seasons. I experienced lifetimes in a matter of seconds.
There is no doubt that Papa God is moving in this hour and powerful things are taking place all over the earth. We are seeing things shift at accelerated speeds, and many believers sense something huge is on the horizon. I don't believe it's merely wishful thinking, I believe it's God and He will have his way. I don't know about you, but Papa has been doing a lot of inner transformation, as well as outer transition in our lives personally. He's taking us deep, really deep, into the cellular memory of things for the purpose of strong foundations and intimate mystery unveiling. It has been wonderful, and if I'm completely transparent, very challenging at times.
Despite all the bad news that the world systems are heralding we are totally being bombarded with and surrounded by the glorious presence of God. The Seraphim appearing with the Prophet Isaiah, almost 3000 years ago, said the following: And one called out to another and said, "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts, the whole earth is full of His glory." Isaiah 6:3b NASU The glory of God is simply the presence of God. This presence fills the Earth at all times. God is called the King of Glory (Psalm 24:8) and also God is called the Father of Glory (Ephesians 1:17).
Get ready to receive exciting new things starting this month. I heard the Lord say that there are a number of gifts coming to us starting in December.
Many of us received promotions during the month of October just after Yom Kippur, on October 12. (You can read the details of that prophetic word in my blog from October 2016: "Why This is Such a Significant Time.")
