Perhaps this is all too simple for us to grasp. We seem to miss life in so many ways, especially as we move into the frenzied seasons, our sense of wholeness often gets lost somewhere between the jam-packed parking lots and the never-ending checkout lines.

This last week, I heard the Lord speak ever so clearly to me for me to deliver this word: "I call this day asking for your whole heart - and that you would realign once again with Me...for there have been missed beats."

We miss beats when we put other concerns before God and His Kingdom concern.

We miss beats when we battle over every single unfairness and stress.

We miss beats when we struggle and demand that our ideas are the only right way.

Truth is…your response in difficulties often reveals the worst part of you.

Irregular Heartbeat

An irregular heartbeat is called an arrhythmia. It is LIFE threatening.

A bird must continue to beat it's wings in order to fly - and you... your heart must continue to beat in rhythm for you to connect.

Everyday, you will have conflict and stressors. It seems so "natural" to be irritated and mad. I was told once, many years ago that I must learn to act without reacting! WOW! That made me really mad!!! I automatically reacted.  That response may be "natural" but not edifying. Not the best choice. Not producing life.

"Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh." Ezekiel 36:26

The question is…do you still allow the Lord to change you? Or do you think you have arrived into perfection?

That process of newness does not always come instantaneously! We must look through the spaces of what seems to be reasons to react in the "natural."

Instead of anger responses and antagonism, would you focus on the HIGHER benefit and open your heart to freely release His Gifts to flow - everlasting mercy, kindness, gentleness, and compassion. When you spiritually overcome what appears to be obstacles, that very journey may end up being what changes you for the good!

Much of the Body of Christ clamors for the GIFTS - which are wonderful. We use the Gifts to be a blessing, but we are not measured by them. This is really important….the Scripture is clear. God is not impressed with our Gifts.

It's All About the Fruit

Jesus explains that God, the "Husbandman" (georgos, a tiller of the ground, a vinedresser), intends for His Godly seed sown within your heart to bear FRUIT that will be collected at harvest time. James 5:7 tells us the Husbandman waits to receive the harvest. The Lord patiently waits for the produce from that INCORRUPTIBLE SEED that was planted in your heart.

The Husbandman, WAITS for the FRUIT.  As our character grows our heart repairs itself.

Let's awaken to the whole reason for growing a Tree of Life in our garden - it is for fruit.

A seed planted can become a single tree, or an immense forest filled with fruit. Just think about it. If rightly used, God-given potential can revolutionize the world. Your seed could turn this world upside down. Yes, together, we become an infinitely great harvest.

"But what happens when we live God's way? He brings GIFTS into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard-things like affection for others (love), exuberance about life (joy), serenity (peace). We develop a willingness to stick with things (long suffering), a sense of compassion in the heart (gentleness), and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people (goodness). We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments (faith), not needing to force our way in life (meekness), able to marshal and direct our energies wisely (temperance).

Legalism is helpless in bringing this about; it only gets in the way. Among those who belong to Christ, everything connected with getting our own way and mindlessly responding to what everyone else calls necessities is killed off for good - crucified." (Galatians 5:22-24 MSG)

Let's not allow our heart to be irregular any longer. Remember, growing fruit does not require striving. Branches don't strain to produce fruit; they just abide in the vine. Now, we just need to step inside the center of this abiding Givingness.  Jesus was the FIRST FRUIT, the Father's best (Galatians 5:22-23).

The fruit of human reasoning produces death, but the FRUIT of the Spirit is Life.

Your life is to be FRUIT bearing.

We Belong to Each Other

God's incredible unchangeable Seed waits to be watered by the Word and to grow. Remember the little boy and his lunch of five loaves and two fish? He didn't know that it would multiply and feed thousands.

The beauty of this principle is that every day, in our own individual uniqueness, we get a chance to grow the FRUIT of our life.

Your destiny is not in your inherited genes, but in who you become.  You choose to change.

Changing your thoughts = changing your life.

Zoe LIFE increases as you are transformed.

Have we over complicated our lives and missed our very purpose and meaning of LIFE ON EARTH? Could the ultimate answer to the right beat of our heart be found in our responses day to day?

Can we awaken from spiritual amnesia and irregular heart beats to realize that other people (even those who annoy us) are here on earth together with us right now? Together, we co-mingle as ONE with God.

Mother Theresa so aptly said, "If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that WE BELONG TO EACH OTHER!"

So in spite of mean people, unfair treatment, offense, disappointments, and misunderstandings - you and I can view it all as an incredible opportunity to express the LIVING Christ - Heaven on earth! And this sacrificial response can become sacred and noble.

The giving of our best fruit back to the Father is worship.  Returning to this altar of faith becomes the reverential sacrifice of our selves and the life-giving witness to others. The Lord God has already begun to tread out the grapes to make the wine for the wedding… and you and I are to be poured out.

Can you smell the aroma of crushed FRUIT?
