 Who Are You, Really?

Shakespeare once said, and it has been said thousands of times since, "To be or not to be, that is the question." The reality is, the body of Christ can be asked the very same question. Are we living by who we really are as Kingdom dwellers, or are we living by who we think we are or who they say we are? Jesus said that it is impossible to see the Kingdom of God unless one is born again. The problem for much of the church, for the most part, is that this has been the starting and stopping point of our faith. Many have the idea of just taking a place as "Saved" people who will try and witness to get other "Saved" people is the sole reason for living. Praise God we are saved, but that is the beginning to finding our true calling as kings and priests of our Almighty God and Father.

There are many that miss the main event of progressing in the Kingdom in relationship with our Lord, and being conformed to His image. As we live and move and have our being in Him, we begin to have a worldview in alignment with the way He sees the world. Father wants us to mature into the authority He has given us. He will only release power through us to the measure of our relationship with Him and the obedience level in which we live according to His Word. What earthly father would give a child a gun and likewise our heavenly Father will not give us more than we can be responsible to steward in His Kingdom.

Being born again is the entrance into seeing the kingdom, and we have this life and life eternal to live as co-laborers with the Holy Spirit as ambassadors to a NOW kingdom. A fallen world and the hosts of hell want to deceive us into waiting for Jesus to come and rescue us out of this present life, when He already has rescued us. Much of His church has not realized this and therefore are not tapping into His resources and transformational power. When Jesus said, "It is finished", He really meant it. From that day forward, those who chose Him, would received His Spirit and could now walk in royalty as part of His Kingdom which is at hand.

It grieves me so much to see people paralyzed by fear, rejection and many other hurts that have fallen upon them either by their choices or the choices of others. They may have the revelation of who Jesus is, but have not got the revelation of who they are through Him. In other words, they do not see themselves the way the Father, Son and Holy Spirit do. They live daily in their prison of past failures, injuries, and lies.

We can never be the ambassadors that Christ desires to build His Kingdom with unless we see ourselves the way He does. When we do, we then will begin to make the shift from living for ourselves to truly living for Him and His purposes. When that begins to happen, then fear and past hurts and limitations fall away. As we continue to be set free in Christ, His life now is lived through us and we can walk effectively in our Kingdom authority.

As we live by our true born again nature and the Word of God, Father can then weave His desires through us and manipulate our world to train and prepare us for conformity to the likeness of His Son. In Christ's image we then become agents of transformation wherever we go. We will first see transformation being processed in us, then through our families and faith communities, and finally transformation of the marketplace and the nations we are sent to.

We must understand that there is opposition to our Kingdom mission and one of the biggest obstacles to living in the Kingdom is self. We must die to self and battle anything else that comes against the call of God upon us. We must face the enemy and not run from him. Whatever enemy that shows up, we must understand that we have all the resources we need to overcome them. We are co-rulers of the greatest kingdom that will ever be. Rulers never run, and runners never rule.

Do not run from your responsibilities as a child of God. Do not run from obedience, do not run from those things you know you should be doing. Face them in the faith of knowing who you are and why you were created, principally to rule with Him forever. We are in training to reign with Him. We must begin to be faithful in the little things because He has so much more for us. We will only receive the responsibility to handle the part of the Kingdom that the Lord has seen us faithful to move on to.

Below are some of the many reminders of who we are. Do not engage in your day or even get out of bed until you know who you are. It does not matter what you think or anyone else thinks about you unless that is what you live by. What matters is what your Father thinks of you and for you to live by what He thinks, while ignoring all other voices including your own in Jesus name. Here are the words you want to hear and confess to remind you throughout the day of who you are. To be or not to be, that is the question.

Father let us not question who you say we are anymore, may we be every moment who you have purposed us to be in your kingdom for your glory in Jesus name.
