THIRD DAY CHURCH OR THREE DAY CHURCH? Hosea 6:1-2, KJVCome, and let us return unto the LORD: for He hath torn, and He will heal us; He hath smitten, and He will bind us up. After two days will He revive us: IN THE THIRD DAY He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight.
2 Peter 3:8, KJV But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that ONE DAY is with the Lord as a THOUSAND YEARS, and a thousand years as one day.
Historically, we are living in the THIRD DAY from the time of Jesus' earthly ministry. This era corresponds to the SEVENTH DAY from Adam (compare Jude 1:14), the SABBATH Day, and the Day of the LORD.
Deuteronomy 16:16, KJV THREE TIMES IN A YEAR shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which He shall choose; in the feast of UNLEAVENED BREAD (Passover) , and in the feast of WEEKS (Pentecost)s, and in the feast of TABERNACLES: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty:
This key verse delineates the annual Jewish religious calendar: Passover in the first month, Pentecost in the third month, and Tabernacles in the seventh month. It exemplifies "excellent" or "three-fold" things (Prov. 22:20-21), and corresponds to the three basic dimensions of the divine pattern revealed in the Tabernacle of Moses: the Outer Court, the Holy Place, and the Most Holy Place (Ex. 25:8,40). From a Christo-centric application, the Lord Jesus Christ is our Savior, Baptizer, and King. As to our Christian walk and experience, we are born again, then Spirit-filled, and finally mature.
The term "THIRD DAY" has been applied to that third dimension to describe an overcoming Corporate Man. That usage is valid, but unfortunately the Third Day crowd has now become as sectarian and ingrown as all the other tribes. I sometimes weary of hearing about a Third Day people, who, by experience and lifestyle, have abandoned the New Testament realities of First Day evangelism and Second Day Pentecostal power and anointing. Last week's chronicle addressed that obvious lack.
Don't mistake me. There IS a high calling to become the people of the Third Day, a people conformed to His image and likeness. But I have modified my semantic and encourage every Christian to do the same. May we not be limited to just becoming a Third Day Church. Let us purpose to be a THREE DAY CHURCH, complete and fully furnished. Israel was commanded to participate in all three Feasts-so must we!
My introduction to any new audience is that I am evangelical, I am Pentecostal, and that I preach what lies behind door number three-a THREE DAY CHURCH!
THERE MUST BE A MARRIAGE

What will it take to move this present generation back to God?
Evangelicals have historically relegated the gifts and power of the Holy Spirit to the first century church through their teaching of cessasionism. Classical Pentecostals have forsaken their anointed roots in the name of education and social acceptability. The Kingdom camp long ago traded in real power for their craving of knowledge.
There must be a marriage between the genuine dynamic of Holy Ghost power (wrought through prayer) and the clear declaration of present truth, of all that the Lord is apostolically and prophetically declaring to His people.
Leviticus 2:1, KJV And when any will offer a [meal] offering unto the LORD, his offering shall be of FINE FLOUR; and he shall pour OIL upon it..
The Old Testament meal offering consisted of two primary ingredients: fine flour and oil. Here is clearly pictured the ordered divine equilibrium between the balanced, even, consistent Word of God and the display of the life-changing, Pentecostal anointing of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 1:1, KJV The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to DO and TEACH.
Every thing that we do and say must be Christo-centric, grounded in and founded upon the centrality and supremacy of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Pattern Son. Doctor Luke informed his friend Theophilus (who according to Clement was a patrician of Antioch) that Jesus indeed operated His own earthly ministry in the same principle. The Son of God was manifested to DO the Kingdom as well as to TEACH the Kingdom! His anointed LIFE demonstrated daily the miracle-working power of God that convincingly validated His sanctified LIP of truth.
This is not a time to be ashamed of the Gospel of the Kingdom. Now is not the time to back off from fearlessly declaring and explaining the Scriptures.
The invitations have been sent. The nations are gathering, longing for a genuine move of God. The wedding feast is about to begin.
The marriage of the Word and the Spirit, the mingling of the fine flour and oil, the ministry of doing and teaching, is about to begin. Will you come?
