Northwest Heaven on Earth painting: Back in the fall of 2009 the Lord began to speak to me about doing a painting of the Northwest. So of course, Mount Rainer, Mount Hood and the city of Seattle would come to mind. I also thought of Marcus Whitman the first missionary to the Native Americans. But, for three or four months I just was praying about what to do and how to start the painting. It seems that I always go through somewhat of a process before I start, just trying to get the mind of the Lord.

• Back in January I was in a Native American church in Enumclaw Washington, at a prayer meeting with a few friends, and I heard the Holy Spirit speak to my heart, "How would you like to do a painting with the Native Americans in it?” I said, "Well, you know Lord, whatever you want, that I will do.” A few moments later I heard: "OK this next painting of the Northwest I want you to incorporate the Indians in the painting.” At the same time I was praying, I kept seeing an Eagle and a dove, I was wondering why I was seeing this. Five days later a Native American women came knocking on my door while I had several people at my home praying one Monday morning. She was from the Chippewa tribe. I ask her why the eagle and the Dove. She said that in her tribe the eagle and the dove can be both used to express the Holy Spirit.

• The wagon train is symbolic of Marcus Whitman one of the first missionaries into the Northwest to reach out to the Native Americans. Marcus Whitman was born on September 4, 1802. At the age of seven, when his father died, he went to Rushville, New York, to live with his uncle. He dreamed of becoming a minister but did not have the money for such a time-consuming curriculum. Instead, he studied medicine for two years with an experienced doctor and received his degree from Fairfield Medical College. In 1834 he applied to the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions. Two years later, Whitman married Narcissa Prentiss. A teacher of physics and chemistry, Narcissa was eager to travel west as a missionary but, as a single woman, had been forbidden to do so.

• Marcus and Narcissa made an extraordinary team. They joined a caravan of fur traders and went west, establishing several missions as well as their own settlement, Waiilatpu, in the Blue Mountains near the present city of Walla Walla, Washington. Marcus farmed and gave medical attention, while Narcissa gave classes to the Indian children. Returning from a trip east, Whitman assisted in the "Great Emigration" of 1843, which clearly established the Oregon Trail.

• The man has a tongue of fire as a feather over his head. There has been prophetic word from years gone by that the fire of God would fall upon the Northwest. In about 2005 I was having lunch was several pastors, and we were talking about the fire that was about to fall. That night reports of this even occurred up in Edmonds, Washington on the same day we had been talking about the fire. About two hours after, several pastors left from that luncheon in that same area, talking about the fire. It was reported that night on the news that several people reported seeing fire fall from the sky. A police officer even ran his car into a tree while being distracted by this occurrence. Well, that was the first fruits, a sign in the heavens that day.

• The river in the Painting is symbolic of the Columbia River Gorge, and the middle waterfall, symbolic of Multnomah Falls. This river divides Washington and Oregon. I wanted to put Mount Rainer and Mount Hood in the painting, Mount Rainer being the highest peak in Washington, and Mount Hood the tallest peak in Oregon. But, the only way that I could see to do that was by placing the mountains the way I did. In the natural, Mount Rainer is not in Oregon, but this was the way I was inspired to do the painting.

• You can see the city of Seattle behind the painting, with the fire of the Holy Spirit over the top of a couple of buildings.

• Mount Hood has the Angel of the Lord releasing the Holy Ghost and fire over the region. The Bible says that the angel come as flames of fire. Even on the rock cliff you can see a man praying with tongues of fire on the rocks.

• Scriptures that are mentioned on the painting:

• Ezekiel 10:2

• 2 Then He spoke to the man clothed with linen, and said, "Go in among the wheels, under the cherub, fill your hands with coals of fire from among the cherubim, and scatter them over the city.” And he went in as I watched.

• Ezekiel 48:35 ; and the name of the city from that day shall be: THE LORD IS THERE.

• Revelation 8:3-5 3 Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake.

• The fire balls of God, will bring the baptism of fire upon the earth. God is about to answer His prayer with fire.

• The Native Americans have tongues of fire over their head.

• Acts 2:3 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.

• HIDDEN THINGS THAT SHOWED UP IN THE PAINTING.

• My pastor friend said: "Look Mike, you have a huge foot that showed up.” It’s located between the two waterfalls on the left of the painting; the rocks on the river form a foot. I was pondering why this was there. God wants to see reconciliation between all cultures, the painting just happens to depict the First Nations people. We must learn to walk in each other’s footprints and life’s trials to some degree, so we can understand what people have gone through.

• Peter says: 1 Peter 2:21 21For even to this were you called [it is inseparable from your vocation]. For Christ also suffered for you, leaving you [His personal] example, so that you should follow in His footsteps.

• On Mount Hood, the Lion of Judah showed up and the wolf. The wolf speaks of the tribe of Benjamin and the Lion, the tribe of Judah, Genesis 49:8-12,27. There are a few other faces on the mountains.

• We ask you to continue to pray for the fire of God to fall in our nations.

• I had a women from the Chippewa tribe dedicate the painting to the Lord. Just after she got done praying a brother began to pray in tongues, and she said” "your praying in Chippewa language.” So I asked her, " what he was saying in tongues,” she said: "Great Spirit creator of the universe, thank you for sending your son Jesus, He’s the Glorious Son of God.” He said the same thing three times.
