Finding the Mind of God by Pam Clark

Be careful taking just one sin and hanging all the problems of mankind and the world on just that one sin! There are trends and fads that happen, even in the Church. America is not right before the LORD but not because of just one sin! Some sins, as it pertains to living life, are worse than others. Stealing is bad, but murder is obviously worse. That does not make stealing okay, because it too is a hurting thieving spirit that robs and harms others. Not taking time to rest and regroup and consider the Lord does not just harm you but also those around you, because you are not on your best (and blessed) game, or posture. Not honoring your parents or marriage with your spouse and thus affecting Godly order can create chaos, being destructive to other families too, and to the children and even the workplace.

There are many sins out there but the worst one is not honoring God in your heart!

Every day we have the opportunity to learn more about God. Every day! Every day we can pray. Every day we can worship. Every day we can seek Him and study and serve Him. We gain something from all that.

It is not just "one sin" that is dooming us. All sin will hurt us and the most provoking to us as individuals is coming short of the glory of God, because we really all want that!

But God is more than just a certain "lifestyle." He is a Person!! He is a relationship of continual encounters, if we will open ourselves up to that. And we do that by praying and asking and waiting for Him to respond to us.

He doesn't just speak to us in our native language, although He has ways to do that; He speaks in the Spirit to our spirit and we need to be open and sensitive to that! He has a Nature that we must learn.

So many look for "the formula" or the "wow factor." The real wow is that He would give us the time of day at all when you consider everything about Who He Is. But He created us in His Image for fellowship, and a smart God can really enjoy some smart and in depth people because they seek Him.

He is Spirit, Jesus said, so He really enjoys Spirit company! It's more than just the intelligence of a high IQ. He created the Universe. Through Him by the Spirit we can obtain the Mind of Christ, and our image to Image relationship can be like the loving joy of a child to its Parent - and even enlivening provoking companionship. You are not going to get lonely or bored!

He's Not a Formula

God is not a formula or some thing or some one that you put in a box! He is everywhere! He made Himself invisible to us at this season in time so that we would seek Him and so that He would know that we do. We can't really hide anything from Him. So when we walk in that awareness, we are moving forward in our relationship with Him.

Don't think of Him as just "a formula" to get things fixed the way we want. That is NOT what is really going on. Yes, we have a sin problem but the real sin is rejecting Him! Through the Cross of Jesus, He was willing to forgive us, but that is also a two-way street of learning to repent AND receive that forgiveness! Then we can walk clean and free and rejoice in that goodness!

We don't just help ourselves but we love and bless and help others too! That is our Spiritual growth. The more we seek to apply ourselves, the more we do mature in the Mind and Soul of Christ (the Anointed) Jesus!

As we do that, we start to learn the Spiritual gifts that are in us that help us to complete His Mission and Work and come to know His reasons for coming to earth to redeem us. Don't sell yourself short of growing a strong mind and will and fellowship in Him. Because if your mind and soul is not strong, the world definitely will start to appeal to you and there will be compromise that could become very destructive to your eternal soul.

Yes, God will deal with issues. And He has "issues" with us. He says in Malachi 2:2 "If you will not hear, And if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to My Name," says the Lord of hosts, "I will send a curse upon you, And I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, Because you do not take it to heart."

Those are strong words from a God who has passion! Don't sell your intelligence short! Don't limit God to formulas or fads! Realize that sometimes He will come in another form, and you must determine by the Spirit what it means and how your response should be carried out.

The world will not be impressed with a weak God. God can use the simple things to confound the wise, but it has to relate to them for them to take notice. Let's wake up to the true life in God and not pass over the things that really matter to our life and Godliness.
