The Best is Yet to Come by Patricia Helder

During the course of my day I heard the same words three times. I know that when things come in three's it is worth listening to. So I will share each one and then talk about it. I was at the library writing and decided to put Youtube on as I find it brings me to a better place when I am reflecting on events I want to write about.

During the course of my day I heard the same words three times. I know that when things come in three's it is worth listening to. So I will share each one and then talk about it.

I was at the library writing and decided to put Youtube on as I find it brings me to a better place when I am reflecting on events I want to write about. So a few songs came and went and then I heard a song with these words; "the best is yet to come." Nice! I certainly loved the song and the beat was quite good. Finishing up, I called my husband to pick me up as he was milling about in town.

Taking the same route back home, I saw that there were several telephone trucks parked on the side of the road doing repairs. Taking note of the trucks pulled my eyes to the writing on the back of the last truck. It said these words; "The best is yet to come." I thought to myself, "wow this was two times in a row….something must be up."

When we arrived home, my husband asked me if I had seen a certain book he had bought quite some months ago. I asked if he looked everywhere and his reply was; "I think so." We don't have a large space as we live in a 26ft RV for the summer again, so things can't really get too lost, so on to the hunt we went. Searching everywhere we thought it might be, I then discovered a book I had taken from Israel. I borrowed it and told them I would be back someday to return it. In the meantime, there it was once again and as I opened to the first devotional I was astounded at what it said;

"The Best Is Yet to Come!" Seeing this now for The Third Time!

This was the excerpt that caught my heart:

"Solomon, Shlomo in Hebrew which means "Peace is his" is generally considered to be the author of Song of Songs. Solomon's reign would be one of peace. Although Solomon was a great and wise king, in the end of it all, he had many wives and concubines who turned his heart away from the Lord. Bearing the name of the King of kings and Lord of lords and being an ambassador of Messiah, how is it that Solomon who was called to be a lover of God in the Spirit, messed up so bad? At the end of his life, his calling was corrupted, and he went from the Spirit to the flesh."

Being a Lover of God

The reason this is so astounding is the fact that so many of us have been derailed from our true calling, which is to be "lovers of God." You and me, we were called to be a lover of God!

There are so many who are called ambassadors of Christ, bearing the name of the King of kings" and Lord of lords, and yet feeling unworthy of the treasure that had been given to you. Perhaps because of falling into a sin where it's unthinkable for a way out and forgiveness is out of the picture, we feel we can never get back. All this, because the true calling upon us was to be a lover of God.

Do you know someone who has fallen into sins where now they feel they are truly unworthy to ever get back to God? Have you yourself been in this position? Seems like the ones who have turned away, especially into sexual sins have been hit the hardest with condemnation and shame. So often it is because the enemy has derailed them, and they hadn't always understood the devils tactics to keep them from their true calling.

God is saying, 'Tell them "I Am' is calling them back because He loves them; to get back on track, repent, ask His forgiveness and turn away from your past sins because.....The Best is Yet to Come!"

God wants to fill you with a song this year. The song is Solomon's (God's) song because it begins with Him all the while initiating every action.

John 15:16 says; "You did not choose Me, but I chose you."

We love God "because He first loved us."

Yeshua, is your Shlomo, your mighty King, and He is in love with you."
"His wisdom is yours.
His riches are yours.
His authority is yours.
His heart is yours.
And He has called us to be lovers of God!"
