Everyone wants to know what The Lord is saying. Believers search the internet for prophetic words, messages, sermons, and videos for a word from God. We read about encounters and supernatural experiences that others had with the Holy Spirit and wonder why we don’t have the same. Those people who are truly hearing from God paid a high price for what they have. They cultivated the anointing by spending time with Jesus in the secret place. They died to the things of this world and immersed themselves in His Presence.
There was a time when you were stirred up in your faith, and you had a hunger for the things of God. Your Bible looked like a coloring book with scriptures highlighted in every color of the rainbow. You journaled everything that you heard and read, but now those pages are blank. Some of you have strayed from that place and that intimate time that you spent with the Lord.
Jesus is saying to you today that He wants to bring you back into that secret place. He wants you to enter into that place of rest once again, where turmoil gives way to peace. Some of your lives have been in upheaval since you’ve left this place. There is a strong anointing on this word and some of you will actually sense the presence of the Holy Spirit as you read this. The anointing is tangible, and it is not limited to geographical boundaries.
It’s often described as a cloud, though rarely seen with our natural eyes. Yet, there’s a place where you could go to receive downloads from heaven, a place where fresh manna falls. The Lord longs to give you supernatural encounters and speak to you in dreams and visions. The Key to this is your personal relationship with Jesus. There is a place that you could go that no one knows but you and Him.
The more you go the more you’ll know His heart and your desires will align with His. Encounters are birthed in the secret place of intimacy. This is the key that opens the door of revelation. It’s the place where the apostle John had an encounter and saw a door standing open in Heaven. Then he heard a voice as a trumpet, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.” (Rev 4:1)
He was immediately in the Spirit, and he went on to describe what he saw. There’s a door open in the Spirit realm to those who spend time with Jesus. The Holy Spirit longs to show us things beyond the natural realm. He is inviting us to come up to a higher place with Him. He’s calling us to spend time with Him. Spend time in His Word, spend time in prayer, and pray in the Spirit on all occasions. He misses that personal time with you.
Then when you call on the Lord, He will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know. Then you will receive revelation in the knowledge of Him, and the secrets of the Kingdom will be unveiled to you as you seek His face. His mysteries will unfold, and you will gain insight into His plans, purposes, and heart. As you draw near to Him, He'll draw near to you, and being led by the Spirit will become your daily reality.
You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness more than Your companions. Psalm 45:7
“For those who have received a greater revelation from their master are required a greater obedience. And those who have been entrusted with great responsibility will be held more responsible to their master.” Luke 12:48b (TPT).
“Someone living on an entirely human level rejects the revelations of God’s Spirit, for they make no sense to him. He can’t understand the revelations of the Spirit because they are only discovered by the illumination of the Spirit. Those who live in the Spirit are able to carefully evaluate all things, and they are subject to the scrutiny of no one but God.” 1 Corinthians 2:14-15 (TPT).
